Well ...any textile park in Punjab will be fully manned by out of state workers .
Punjab should 1st try saving the industries already there . Cycle manufacturers there have been crying for a long time . Sporting goods has already gone .
Punjab needs to get decent engineering goods type factories .. alas no vision there
Activists opposed the project because of environmental concerns lol and destroying their land because of overuse of farming is okay

Ya'll Nibbiars one way to kick the Mlecchas brand out of the country is that the manufacturers like Nokia and others files the cases on the patents and kick them out like it already happened in the EUs. And Will be happy to see the Samsung and Nokia dominate the market than the Xioami and the BBK Electronics. Any way our domestic manufacturer are on the last beds.

BS conspiracy theory. It is not uncommon for semiconductor fabs to catch fire; also, the project was anyway dead by the time that incident happened. India's government could not replicate the success story of their Taiwanese counterpart; that's all.
more like, we were not allowed to, as TSMC was spoon-fed US copyright patent info. We were not.

What you said is true. We started very late. But still we have moving in the ladder but the fire destroyed everything and it took some 5+ years to rebuild. At that time the tech moved so fast and we could not able to keep up with them. Also the period is dogshit since our economic condition is pathetic.

You do understand stem thingy is pretty new and at beginning phase in India. But if taken whole south Asian and south east asian and west of South Asia in general then we are only next to China. Despite that both China and India send students in record numbers to amreekunts. Thats why in stem fields like cs, which serve as talent pipelines for the likes of google,Microsoft - About upto 70 -80 percent of candidates and almost percent in master’s programs last year are international students there.
The difference between Indian students and Chinese students going abroad for pursuing STEM is that most of the Chinese Students return back to contribute to their country whereas only a tiny minority of Indian students return back.

This still baffles me about why the government opened a lab as critical as semiconductor technology, that too in a place with extremely limited infrastructure and in the midst of an ongoing insurgency.
Perhaps they could have succeeded had they opened it up in Tamil Nadu or Andhra.

Any soecific data to back up the claim?
1660501180797.png

For India there is no such concrete statistics but a commonly observed trend in academic ciricles.
And it's quite logical. In no way you can repay those 50-60 lakh education loan amounts with an interest rate of 15-16% with an Indian salary. The Interest premium alone would be higher than the salary.

Don't think there is any peer reviewed study on that and as far as migration of HNIs go, cheenis and ASEAN nations are bigger sufferers. Also, there are not many Indians involved in niche R&D to begin with (contrary to popular whatsapp forwards, like how Indian immigrants 'run' NASA etc). On the other hand; Chinese engineers, specializing across niche domains, are a common sight to a point that high concentration of cheeni researchers across Fortune 500 companies is often cited as a reason why chinese state backed espionage and stealing operations are so successful.

Oh, they are anything but 'activists'. Punjab has always been a hotbed of anarchists who are politically/electorally influential; it has nothing to do with 'environment'.

Wow! China really is the expert on non-tariff trade barriers. I'm sure having a JV law that forces companies to move manufacturing to China in exchange for market access is perfectly in line with free and fair trade. Who needs tariffs when you can just have a list of government list for favoured procurement.
Forcing JV establishment is a common practice for developing countries who want to build up their own domestic manufacturing. Japan did it, South Korea did it, Chinese did it and INDIA is doing it.

Ya'll Nibbiars how India is doing it?. The 100 percent FDI is allowed in almost ever sector. No barrier for any JV.

You must read your own shiet before posting. Why does the article does not even mention stem? Which students are returning? Ma degree wala.

The largest group of students going out and coming back have been candidates for an Ma degree – in 2015, 80.5 per cent of returnees were Ma students – whose chances of succeeding abroad are not that great.

Staggering numbers of the chinese students may also want to return home thats 80 percent of them could also be due to post cornachan goodwill screwed of ccpfags all over.

The problem is not that. Problem is perpetually cucked bhadraloks iq never goes above the room temps.

This is misleading, because the % increases for each year as more years pass.

average it takes 7-10 years for a green card and 10-15 years for citizenship. So in another 5-10 years that 5% will grow to 50%
When since the coronachan attacked now significant chinese want to come back as explained previously.
