The high speed rail will provide benefit to the state of Maharashtra in the sense that it will promote more trade & facillitating faster travel to Mumbai from seeder cities and tier II thereby reducing congestion in Mumbai. Besides the high speed rail is planned to expand to other major cities. You are thinking too narrowly.

The water grid - the MVA may have approved but certainly didn't do anything more than that. It was still sitting there waiting for the release of funds. Sharad Pawar didn't allow that because it meant that his cronies weren't getting any money.

Refinery Project - kept getting delayed and delayed.

Gas Pipeline project - how is the Centre causing the problem when the land acquisition is the state's responsibility?

Dharavi redevelopment - there was a serious proposal that would have gotten the ball rolling but instead the MVA fell victim to local politiking and caused it to be sidetracked or sidelined. Nothing is happening there.

Multimodal corridor - taking way too much time through bureacratic redtape and too much hand wringing by the MVA probably because the MVA were not getting the bribes they wanted.

No, under Ek Shinde, you will definitely see more progress.

Dark Sorrow, by any chance , are you an AAP or Congress supporter?

That is not how democracy works.
We are not PRC.
In democracy one has to always negotiate.
If one party gets all the say things end up like Sri Lanka Hambanthota port or international airport.

Even after all bullet train dancing we have not seen object analysis of bullet train.
Mumbai-Pune has more ridership than Mumbai-Ahmadabad yet no bullet train proposal.
I didn't expect you to say something this stupid....Mumbai Pune is only 150 kms away.

The planned Bullet train is supposed to connect lot of cities together on the way between two cities with high net worth individuals...not just 1 to 1 connection and be done with it.

Aarey car shed is not a fiasco but rather valid concern.
Don't blame delay Line-3 on Aarey car shed. Lot of work on Line-3 is still pending.
How's this a valid concern? Before 2018, it was known as Aarey colony, now pseudo environmentalists call this "Aarey forest". Besides, the amount of CO2 saved by running metros, far outweighs the few thousand trees which were felled.

This is plain BS. No proper survey or research has been done in this regard.
The real reason for Bullet train project is known to people in Maharashtra, hence their is not much support for the project in Maharashtra.
Faster travel to Mumbai from seeder cities and tier II cities. Which cities? This is the same generic BS reason given by BJP supporters.
The water grid - the MVA may have approved but certainly didn't do anything more than that. It was still sitting there waiting for the release of funds. Sharad Pawar didn't allow that because it meant that his cronies weren't getting any money.
The government allocated money and approved the project. The project is progressing. Currently legal formalities are being handled. If MVA wanted to do corruption the work on this project would have staretd long time ago but the government is executed the project by the book.
Gas Pipeline project - how is the Centre causing the problem when the land acquisition is the state's responsibility?
No land acquisition is not the responsibility of state. Its is not MVA government's role to allocate land.
What about Nagpur-Jharsuguda section outside Maharashtra. Has MVA also caused problem their.
Dharavi redevelopment - there was a serious proposal that would have gotten the ball rolling but instead the MVA fell victim to local politiking and caused it to be sidetracked or sidelined. Nothing is happening there.
You are not aware of Techno-Legal complication with the project. Their are lot of legal challenges in the entire project.
Multimodal corridor - taking way too much time through bureacratic redtape and too much hand wringing by the MVA probably because the MVA were not getting the bribes they wanted.
Same old BS portraying anyone opposing BJP as villain. Lets see how much work is done by 2024.
No, under Ek Shinde, you will definitely see more progress.
Because he won't dare to defy center.

What reason... don't shoot and scoot. We want to understand the real reason you think the bullet train is being built for.

Mumbai-Pune Expressway currently handles approximately 60,000-2,00,000 (extrapolated) vehicles per day.
Between 25,000 and 30,000 commuters travel between Mumbai and Pune everyday by train.

Ok? We can connect it to Pune in the future. Not everyone will travel via bullet train daily or without luggage. It's not important how much raw volume is between the cities but the strata of people and purpose to reach within business hours.

Aarey went by lot of names like Aarey Milk Colony, Aarey Colony and Aarey forest. You registered Aarey forest first time in 2018 because of protest against BJP.
Besides, the amount of CO2 saved by running metros, far outweighs the few thousand trees which were felled.
Do you have heard the arguments against Aarey forest chopping and construction of car shed in Aarey or are just supporting it because of BJPs affinity to the project.

problems are multi fold, well known & well documented already. this Debt can be reduced easily if taxes r used properly but alas.. people only care for their own money and when govt works under assumption that every citizen is a thief than less said better..

I was reading a shitter thread for for a restraunt owner and rules r gems..

While excise rules says u can have only one door in bar cum restraunt.. fire deptt says u must have 2 doors.. one need to be bribed..

if u have bar.. u need to document each and every ml of liquor via a register..

edit... found it... it, a gem

It is to be taxed on Mix Supply mechanism. It is to be charged on the highest rate in components of supply.

Not even Supreme court considers this as a "valid concern"

However, comprehending this is beyond Congress supporters.
Two different cases

The trees were chopped down in a single night amidst protests and petitions in court. No government department works with efficiency to go and chop down the forest in middle of the night.

All SC said is no new trees are being cut in 2022 but the fact remains back in 2019 more than 2000 trees were chopped of in middle of the night.

More than 90% people traveling between Mumbai-Pune are daily up-down passengers.
Many people from Pune work in Mumbai and vice versa.
If such high speed service is available in between Mumbai-Pune ridership will be enormous.
Their is also a large section of population working in IT who does to Pune on Monday works for a week and returns on Friday evening and vice versa. If bullet train starts this section will also do daily up-down.

If Maharashtra state government is expected to pay for bullet train it should pay for one that benefits its domicile and economy the most.

You think connecting 2 rich states of india with high speed railway with big number of upper middle class population is bullshit ?

The real reason for Bullet train project is known to people in Maharashtra, hence their is not much support for the project in Maharashtra.
I have heard three kinds of rumors in market . those are

- bullet train project got associated with modi's name just like vandebharat train so there was resistance .

- Someone wanted to play regional card just like you are doing here .

- This project funded by japan which is a rival of china when it comes to bullet train project .

But these are just rumors .. No need to take them seriously

So, you mean to say we should only have intercity travels with bullet train not interstate?
Only after a proper cost benefit analysis is done.
And just for information will Maharashtra pay for whole bullet train project?
It is suppose to pay about 25% of project cost which comes to 5000 crores. What will be the RoI on this?

Yet no research has been published regarding RoI.

At the end of day it should not end up like Hambanthota port or airport.

Their are lot of priority projects that need funding. We must not end up with dead investment.
