1) Bengaluru became the 2nd highest direct tax paying city in India. Very big economic boom.
2) 38% of FDI attracted by India went to Karnataka last year.
3) 48% of commercial real estate absorbed in India was in Bengaluru last quarter.
4) ₹60,000+ cr investment news after Davos meet.
5) The best in startup ranking as per Govt of India.
6) India's largest semiconductor FAB unit coming to Mysuru.
7) Petronas investing ₹31,200 cr in Mangaluru.

But at the same time -

Bengaluru "least liveable" city in India, ranked 146th Globally

Other indian cities not far behind .

much effort needed in North Karnataka, those three shades from the bottom should not exist in any district.

Another thing why don't I see a infra push in Karnataka in the same magnitude as Maharashtra.

It should have been teeming with Highways right now.

North Karnataka even historically has been poverty and hardship max, for whatever reason it's always dry there, I guess no rivers + little rainfall so it's very hard to grow crops and all.
Most state govts are shameless and are content with counting the $$$ from 1-2 big cities and ignore the rest.
In MH Vidharbha and eastern MH is also neglected just like this.

On the risk of sounding blackpiller RDSO cannot develop anything . It is filled with not scientist/engineers but sarkari karamchari and all those upsc wala . RDSO is famous for even scuttling and delaying good idea proposed by others.
They are not developing anything; the ToI headline is misleading. Going by Sudhansu Mani's interviews, ICF was simultaneously working on train 18, a sleeper version of it, aluminium coaches and aluminum teainsets. They were confident with steel coaches but lacked experience when it came to the aluminum ones. Hence, they worked out draft tender documents to facilitate a joint development project; it is another matter that railway babus themselves sabotaged the projects and the apex ICF team was sidelined right under the nose of Piyush Goyal. RDSO has merely made some specifications; after which tenders may be floated as envisaged before once the Ministry okays it.

Ya'll Nibbiars The During World War I, when there was a shortage of iron in India, the visionary ruler Chhatrapati Shahu of Kolhapur ordered that all the cannons at Panhala Fort be melted and handed over to Kirloskar Industries for the production of agricultural equipment for farmers.

Actually MCF is developing aluminium coaches after signing a ToT with Dawonsys (a Korean firm). This will be completely different from steel LHB rakes. This ability to work with aluminium will pave the way for making high speed trains in future.

That MCF contract is sham, lol. Their Korean partner Dawonsys has never made anything other than metro rail coaches; rather they could have worked with the likes of CAF, Talgo etc or even an Indian company like Titagarh who possess in house technology of manufacturing aluminium trainsets/coaches. Titagarh is also the only Indian company who have the expertise of manufacturing high speed trainsets.

The MCF babus put pretty much everything into that contract - aluminium coaches, aluminum trainsets, metro coaches - you name it! The entire tendering procedure warrants a probe and above all, contrary to what some people think Piyush Goyal was not that big of a success as RailMin.

Dixon is now a 10.5k crore ($1.5 billion) company. They have aggressively expanded their business in the last 5 years. India needs at least 50 more such companies to truly be known as a manufacturing powerhouse.

Dixon is the Foxconn of India. Hope to see them grow big and also hopefully they can become our TSMC too.
