Ya'll Nibbiars The Take care of your employees today or it'll affect ur business tomorrow. How IndiGo learnt its lesson:Yesterday more than 50% of Indigo’s flights were delayed because 55% of their cabin crew called in sick to attend Air India interviews.

The Indigo needs to look inwards and realise that this is their employee’s response to how they were treated. Take their paycuts for examples. The 2 years back some Indigo employees were forced to take a 30% pay cut during the pandemic. The Now that things are back to normal these employees were given a token 8% hike with a promise of another 6.5% later this year. And In April Indigo dropped a company wide mail explaining that pay rises will be difficults.

The How can Indigo expect employees who are earning lesser than what they did 3 years back to stay with them?. And What’s funny is how Indigo reacted It requested Tata to not hire employees without NOCs. The Indian aviation industry is gearing up for its ‘Great Resignation’ with Akasa and Jet’s impending entry heating up the War for Talent. Things will only get worse for Indigo. Their short sighted approach during the past few years will now lead to direct business impact. And not just them Aviation industry globally is facing an acute shortage of staff and that’s because they laid off employees during the pandemic who have now joined other sectors like hotels and tourism. And Wonder why companies still persist with this Penny smart Pound foolish strategys.

The Tough times are the best opportunity to build loyalty and create a lasting company culture. Taking care of an employee during the tough times pays rich dividends in the long term. Those that have knee jerk reactions are caught out not just by current but also future employees.
