That extra liquidity came due to Low interest rates + People being unable to spend during lockdown.

Taxes have nothing to do with extra liquidity. Govt still collected TDS.. Salaried folks who pay direct. Taxes hardly have extra money... It is driven primarily by supply chain and demand supply mis match.
Yes, No more taxes please. They want demand destruction via taxes but there are better ways to control liquidity in the market.

#1 lower interest rates for housing, real estate can soak up money really well and hold it
#2 Issue lot of debt and have the public buy it all up and reduce money circulation on consumption but into investments through infra spending

For god sakes we need to reduce taxes on a whole lot of things! Nearly on everything we need to reduce taxes but Govt won't let salaried people like me live.
Govt should concentrate on their own shit show of PSUs not paying money to private players and accumulating billions of dollars of cost increments due to retarded protests and paperwork.

To compete with Gasoline vehicles , EVs or Hydrogen cars must become as cheap as these vehicles.
Ethanol vehicles are cheap and simple someone living in a remote village won’t buy Hydrogen vehicles or even electric vehicles
Production of ethanol and flex engines is easy and simple
production of highly efficient batteries or Hydrogen is a new technology india would need to import technology from West or Japan or China to make it feasible
Go nuclear. Upfront capital costs are high but operating costs are lower and has the cheapest $ per MW at steady state. Only risk is we don’t have enough nuclear fuel and relying on others for Uranium supply is a risk.
EVs or hydro cars will never be as cheap as gasoline engines, as the technology is much more sophisticated than the IC technology. Plus EV needs new infrastructure setup along all highways and towns/villages, adding to the expenses. The real savings is in monthly fuel costs and possibly maintenance. If strategic autonomy is the goal, then tap into oil and natural gas reserves in the Indian Ocean and see if we can bring down the import bill.

Ethanol vehicles are cheap a car which can run on both ethanol and petrol will cost more or less the same as conventional cars and ethanol engines are time tested EVs are under development Hydrogen cars are under development , Nuclear powered cars as you suggested are still in sci fi movies.

Medha To Develop Hydrogen Fuel Powered Train.

Railways has finalised plan for introducing hydrogen fuel cell-based technology for narrow gauge locomotives in Kalka-Shimla section.

The Rs 70 crore investment in the hydrogen fuel cell project would be recovered in less than two years as the cost of the hydrogen is less than diesel.

The conversion project entails retrofitting DEMU in 89 km Sonipat-Jind section. Later two hybrid narrow gauge locomotives will be retrofitted with hydrogen fuel cell power movement.

“We believe that downward adjustments in Q1, Q2, Q3 numbers could have a soothing impact on Q4 GDP numbers. Every Rs 10,000 crore revision adds / subtracts 7 basis points from GDP growth.”

Ghosh said that early trends of Q4FY22 results from corporates in the listed space, reported better growth numbers across parameters as compared to the same period in FY21 albeit contraction in operating margins took place due to higher input cost owing to inflationary pressures.

This is exactly why I stopped caring about growth projections for India. Not a single forecast has been met in recent years. Just constant excuses and downgrading growth and i wont be surprised if even this forecast is missed.

"Q4 FY22 GDP numbers are due for release on 31 May and it is difficult to comprehend the numbers as a spate of customary quarterly revisions in FY22 could make it a forecaster’s nightmare. We are projecting GDP growth for FY22 at 8.5 percent and Q4 FY22 at 2.7 percent"

Why are you quoting selectively. The article itself says 2022 gdp growth at 8.5% with 2.7% in Q4.

It's a speculative article with no tangible data.

Liquidity came from central banks.

The constant gripe from salaried class is nauseating.

Nobody is forcing them to work. Quit and start your own business. There too, director salaries are taxable.

What should the Govt do?

Tax petrol at the same rate so the Director of the company who drives a luxury high end car and a delivery boy riding a TVS-50 pay the same pump rate?

Well, In a country like india, Only herds are heard...ultimately it is shittocracy & votes matter.

Are not those genuine concerns when one particular class gets milked from all sides while those above & below continue to enjoy as it is.. While the one above is least bothered since they have connections at right place & are powerful.... the one below have nothing to loose... and are vote bank for politicians while those 3-4 crores direct payers have no voice per se... since the are scattered and have no so called " Association" & anyways what does this middle guy gets ... many lost jobs in covid.. did govt do anything.. Zilch...

you are implying as if doing business is holy grail of all our problems... if everybody starts bussiness than who does the work... ultimately Owner have to sit on cash counter...

Arey baba... human beings are aspirational.. and there is a cost associated.

Middle class aspires for a certain lifestyle... there will be costs associated with it.

Who is milking whom?

The poorest to the richest pay the same at petrol bunk, pay the same for rail and flight, pay the same road toll tax, pay the same at a restaurant with a fixed price menu, pay the same at a branded departmental store, pay the same at sulabh shauchalay.. then where is the middle class being milked?

Service tax/GST is same if a rich man buys an insurance policy or a poor man buys a policy. Who is milking whom?

The poorest of the poor is also contributing to the tax kitty.

We have a socialist+++++ govt that wants to give to the needy in exchange for votes.

Same Govt. doles out incentives, tax sops to boost private sector investment which creates more high paying jobs in the low/mid-range wages segment.

If you have a solution or tips on changing what ails the salaried class most, please make a list of suggestions and share with us.

Sorry.. Poorest do not buy petrol or go to restraints or buy insurance policy...

Their travel is subsidized heavily in SRTC buses already or ticket less travel in trains , Food is almost free under various govt schemes and they don,t need insurance for anything ...for housing they have PM 's various schemes where they avail free housing .. only to Settle in next slum are and rent that house...

Would u beleive that u will find Dish TV & 50" HD TV's in almost every Slum in & around NCR ... U heard it right....Instead of doling out subsidies why don,t govt create job oppurtunities for them to earn their bread.... but votes matter ...

On the outskirts of CHD, there is a place called 'Dhanas" with a Huge slum... govt settled them in nice 1 -2 BHK homes... all are rented out and a new one have cropped up nearby .....& colony is a hotbed for criminals... Same is case across...

Need of the hour for govt is to increase the tax base and check their own spending / corruption...instead of milking same folks till they are dead...

Most of slum dwellers are not indian citizens but get benefit from this baseless subsidies by government using fake adharcard .eg rohingya and bangladeshi muslims.Cancel all such socialist schemes and start spending on primary and secondary education.

This is the sad reality of our country which is forcing people to migrate. Two of my cousins applied for PR during the pandemic, ek ka ho gaya and she has already left.

Another one is waiting... they have the same grouse as yours but griping won't help so they thought leaving for good is a better option.

Same with most friends. .. jyada bola toh public blackpilling ka charge thok degi.. the Govt has little choice.. they created this monster now the monster is getting bigger and so is his appetite.. Govt needs to find ingenious ways to keep it quiet or there will be social unrest which the likes of you and me cannot handle.

When I was in Chennai, I saw slum board apartments surrounded by slums. Heard whoever got a flat allotted would rent it out and move back into the 'jhuggi'. This is a criminal waste of public money but if you don't, then the Govt. won't have much to show as working for the poor ... so it is a nice PR exercise besides making money for the party favorites. Wink wink nod nod...

We are a very unequal society with more fault lines than a cracked glass.

Blame the people, politics and politicians. The taxation policy is a monkey balancing tightrope act by those in charge. Can't change it overnight.

That is only in certain pockets. Internal migration is very common in India and slums happen to be their first choice.

They can't afford to move into tony apartment complexes now, can they where they seek employment as maids, drivers, house keeping staff, security etc... people whose services we take for granted?

Ek din bai chutti maar le.. madam ka paara sambhalte sambhalte LL jaane hain..

I think slums exist in india because cities are not planned and they always underestimate the growth of a city they plan for 1 million and the population of the city exceeds 10 million why not plan for a city of 10 million from the very beginning?
