They're not there yet. Consumption there is affected by the lower wages which are being paid out to keep exports cheap. All that forex enters the real estate market and fuels real estate speculation by people who want to make money because the govt is lending to that sector aggressively is the point. From what I understand there aren't that many option for Chinese people to invest/park their money over there. I'm open to being corrected on that though.

Yes you are right. 70% of Chinese household wealth is tied up in real estate. Because of this real estate prices are high. This is turn leads to people taking high mortgage to buy apartments/houses without which they can't get married. For Chinese women, the groom must have a house in his name if she wants to get married to that person. And once you have a house hold debt hanging over your head your entire attention and energy goes towards making sure you are paying your monthly mortgage on time. Having kids and spending on goods and services take a back seat. This is the reason their country hasn't become a consumption led economy yet. With demographic crisis looming in the future this is only going to get worse.

If CCP tries to pop the bubble then household wealth of many Chinese will collapse. It's like a catch 22 situation. You are damned either way. Even with 3 red line policy the culture of owning a house before marriage won't disappear anytime soon. It's the only safe investment option out there and an asset which you can rely on.

Their construction projects are simply handing over skeletal flats to their owners. There are no amenities like swimming pool, gym, indoor games etc. While in India every gated society which has more than 100 houses should have some amenities like swimming pool and gym. Otherwise most Indians will not buy the flats. This has become a standard now.

I have not read the guidelines, but I am in favor of strict implementation of quality standards. Lot of Ayurvedic companies do not follow any quality and tend to have heavy metals beyond acceptable limits in their products.

No country seems to find the balance consumption led countries have offshored all the production to countries where labor is cheap while industrializing countries desperately want to move to a service based economy which in turn leads to drop in wages

sounds good, "West" wants to export food. Indians are competition. In fact in consumption, industry, now weapons sales India and Indians are competition.
When Indians consume with they reduce what is available and drive up the price.
