Check WTO dashboard. Tariff rationalization is an ongoing process and expect it to decline further. Both simple avg and weighted avg tariff rates are being reduced. Murica does not highlight India's rapid reduction of weighted avg rate btw while bitching about tariff and stuff. Finished goods (mostly from chinks and/or rerouted through ASEAN/ Hong Kong with/without minor screwdrivergiri) will continue to be targeted though. FTA with Murica is possible only if the GOI agrees to accept concessions in agriculture (which they are attempting to do with Aus and EU to bring competition against free ka kisans from you know where). FTAs with UAE, KSA, Israel, GCC, UK, Taiwan are less challenging and will happen early. @Shuturmurg nibba.
