Kanyakumari to Kashmir is 3600 km and connected, what's your point? They are two cities within the same country, who'll burn cash for making roads and rail in other countries? And still road connectivity exists, the scale you're hoping doesn't justify economics. That's a poor priority for spending for India as of now
China has done it

My professor in the first year used to pick up a steel bar and say "this costs some 100 Rs and we export this to China and Japan and buy back Vernier caliper made out of same steel costing some 3,000 Rs", "This is the absolute State of our country"
Previously we were exporting just iron ore and importing steel. This is already an improvement.

With the scale of our steel production rising ( already bigger than usa and Japan ) we'll soon have all ancillary industries for various steel products.

I think this waterway is already partially operational and will get fully operational by 2023
IIT-Roorkee inked an MoU with Inland Waterway Authority of India (IWAI) carry out a project on Stabilisation of Navigatgational Channel at 17 locations along a stretch of the Ganga river from Varanasi to Sahibganj.

This might be a chance for us if we lobby well with TSMC.

One separate discussion is ongoing between the government of Taiwan (ROC) and the GOI for a potential US$ 7.5 billion semiconductor investment deal. It is not part of the US$ 10 billion chip incentive deal. Reuters, Bloomberg and a bunch of Korean and Taiwanese media houses reported on it.

Hmm. Dedicated facility for electricity, relaxed labour conditions, dedicated water supply, roads and what not.
All the above are self explanatory.

Why this tho, fabs mostly employ very high skilled workers.
Ya'll Nibbiars what they are asking is for regulations to be International levels complaint that means need a adherent atleats at the stats level where they will invest. A special clause to dislodge from other industries rules and regulations and on special criteria basis not just SEZ level but even more as can't allow the Lal Salaam wale to be in this extremely delicate Industry's.
