Ya'll Nibbiars

Hey Macarena.

And Crude oil - 83.60 dollat per barrel.

Per litre - 35 rs 0.52.

As per current taxes - 75 rs on petrol & 65 rs on diesel.

And 63% goes to central & 37% to states per litres.

And 40.95 petrol & 47.25 diesel

Per day usage - 12bn Lt petrol, 27bn Lt diesel

And 49,127 thousand cr 2.5bn Dollars per day.
Nibba... where's the source?

2.5 billion dollars = Rs. 18,500 crores with USDINR at Rs. 74.

That would be USDB 2.5 * 30 days = USD 75 billion per month.

Rs. 18,500 * 30 days = Rs. 5,55,000 crores per month.

USD 75 billion per month in fuel cess alone would push our annual fuel cess to well over USD 600 billion. That's an insane amount of money. I think your numbers look way off if you look at the below data.

I think Govt. is making about Rs. 1 lakh crore per month or a little more. Not 5.55 lakh crores a month.

Pragati OS should be expanded for feature phones, just like Kai OS.
If it stops just as a skin/overlay/ optimized version of Android, it will be disappointing.
The os was being made in partnership with google right it probably will just be a reskin of android with slight tweaks which is a good thing for now because they need the play store

Isn't price at pump inclusive of all those taxes - Central and State taxes?

Yes. Also GST council had meeting few days back to bring tax regime for petrol under GST. So we can then expect prices to be reduced to 75rs per litre.

Ya'll Nibbiars monthly. 50,000 crores.

Nope. Closer to 1 lakh crore in a lean month .. with current rates, should cross 1.1-1.2 lakh crore a month if consumption and prices hold.
Ya'll Nibbiars I am talking about imports not the whole price band.

Ya'll Nibbiars petrol pump kin kyon baat kar raha hai.

Yesterday Petrol 113 rupees.

Ya'll Nibbiars not happening.

Quoting your post - ye kya hai? Where are we getting 2.5 billion dollars per day from?
Ya'll Nibbiars miscalculations.

How many crores (INR) is $1 billion if USDINR exchange rate is Rs. 75 to a USD?

$1 billion would be Rs. 7,500 crores.

$2.5 billion would be 7500*2.5 = Rs. 18,750 crores.

Rs. 49,127 crores kaise hua re.. mere ko samjha.

Total Union Budget is around 34 lakh crores for 21-22, of which revenue is 17 lakh crore.
obviously 12 lakh crore won't be coming from fuel alone.

Screenshot 2021-10-25 at 8.24.32 PM.png

As per latest government data, central excise duty collection has already touched Rs 1,37,236 crore till August in FY22. This is a growth of almost 37 per cent over Rs 1,00,398 crore excise revenue collected by the Centre in the first five months of FY21.

Tax experts said that if the current movement is maintained, which is likely, given the swift recovery being seen in the economy resulting also in a pick up in demand for petroleum products, Centre's excise revenue in FY22 would be over Rs 3,89,662 crore excise revenue in FY21.
