Did you visited kanpur in last decade from 2011 to 2020 if yes than you know what i mean. Kanpur was a dumpster fire. kanpur central railway station was literal shithole with open defection on tracks and outer platform the other stations had same situation, main roads had potholes so big they cause traffic jams and large garbage heaps on divider and footpath was no better.
Now situation is much better roads are clean, building new infrastructure and maintenance is going faster then ever before. Factories were again start functioning, People start coming to find jobs from nearby districts before covid hits UP.
As other members say work speed is still slow but compare to akhilesh or mayawati it's light years ahead.

beside that the eastern dedicated freight corridor is also passing through Varanasi
