This is not Ghar Wapsi to Hinduism, man, you are really something! they had strayed away from the right path, which they now admit and want to come back to the mainstream, that's what this Ghar Wapsi means.

@Prasanna kumar They will probably work as informants or be hired by the army for jungle warfare type jobs. Ultimately, their skill is to shoot and kill so they cannot be rehabilitated in a modern economy anyway so they will be fighting as long as they are alive. That is their life now. Just that, instead of fighting against the state, they will be fighting for the state and probably draw salaries. Probably.

Well that will only happen when a SOCOM type structure will get build and SF is not treated like everybody's favorite but bastard child. How else are Majors and Above going to get promotions?!!

On another note. SF as part of task force would play a niche role only. The Larger Force would do Recce (Via Ghataks, secure perimeter, be the blocking force, etc etc etc. Not really simple "auxiliary assistance"

Also. IMO SF should not claim anything. They should do their jobs and the story should end there. Those who need to know or should know (at the receiving end) would know. The Myanmar op PR hack job post the op was in bad taste.

Actually its not a task force. 21 para is assigned to carry out COIN ops in NE region. It is the same unit which did carried out the hot pursuit in Myanmar recently. They do act as a primary strike force rather then intel gathering. The main HUMINT in the region is carried out by AR.

Actually its the 57 Mountain Div that is tasked with COIN in the region. 21 SF is only a part of it.

But by looking at the weapon's iron sight it does not look like the conventional M4 iron sight as in the image below:

The barrel size is also notably smaller than that of a regular M4.

Guys is the gun a new variant of the M4 or has the state police purchased HKs?
