There is a little catch in those A-2 calculations - serial number -013 has already been seen (tested 2010 I think) and 11 Agni-2 missiles have been tested. The number of launchers and missiles aside, even the number of launchers may be slightly low. I'd estimate 12 with 24 missiles at a minimum for each A-2 and A-3.

interesting location,

View attachment 18546

So it basically split Pak into half, One radar is going to take care of the entire Pakistan. This is the main LRTR we have been discussing it has more than 1500 kms of tracking range. Our own version of pill box radar.
This basically covers entire Pak.

So we can detect every BM launch, if we have something similar in Bombay, we will be able to track their BM path.

What about the one in Pali, Rajasthan? Redundancy?

yeah that is supposed to be purpose, but at the same time i must say that original LRTR is mobile base, so we could place them different location at very short notice.

AWACs will be other back up support, so it appears they want overlaying coverage of radars for BMD.

Air Defenses we need at present scenario:
1)Anti-Ballistic missile defense
2)Theater defense like S-400 protecting large portion of area's.
3)Area protection like cities, towns near border with Medium range SAM's like Barak's and Akash missile system
4)Bases,fuel dumps, ammunition dumps must be protected by point defense like iron dome and pantsir S-1 because they are the most attacked when war broke's out.
5)While on move Pantsir S-1 will be god for protecting the advancing armor and infantry.

There is no true anti ballistic missile system. Most of the systems are not foolproof. Only short range missiles can be intercepted.

S400 is imported. We need PDV or Ashwin which is improvised. With Israeli seekers, it is possible. Even BARAK-8 is said to be ABM, though it is neither confirmed nor denied.

SAMs are not for area protection but for protection against cruise missiles and aircraft. They are to be deployed near borders against airspace violations. We don't just protect 1 city from airspace violations but entire border. SAMs actually make interceptors jobless. We don't need interceptor planes due to SAMs. SAMs also takes out cruise missiles, subsonic and even Brahmos type (mind you that aircrafts travel at 2Mach and are maneuverable. So, 3Mach non maneuverable brahmos is not a big deal).

After putting in SAMs across borders, the only other thing needed for bases, fuel dumps are ABM protection. If cruise missiles or planes can't get in the border, they can't hit bases either. The best way to defend fuel dump, factory, ammunition depots is by making them behind mountains, in the valley or even as a tunnel or underground bunkers

We already developed QRSAM using Astra missile reengineering. With Israeli seekers, they should work absolutely awesome

A question does Bharat have any plans in making any Missisle defence satellites.
Yes, ISRO has stated that using the Isro PSLV or Agni 5, seekers and detection capabilities of ABM or SAMs, we can make anti satellite missile. Satellites are easy to kill as they aren't as maneuverable as missiles or planes. The orbits of satellites are fixed and it is easy to destroy them by even simpler orbital maneuver of ordinary PSLV rocket

No my freind I am talking about missile defence satellites,And i know DRDO is already working on A-SAT Missile.
There is no satellite launched missiles as of yet. Satellites move at thousands of kilometres per second, the missiles launched from it to earth have effects of coriolis force, gravity, wind speed variations at different heights etc. Also, missile testing os needed which is pretty dangerous as the missile may end up falling on someone's home or a foreign country. Without testing missile, it is impossible to have satellite launched missiles

I am talking about Missile Defence satellites which can Track and destroy missiles through laser beams.

No laser beam has been made yet. The missile is capable of handling 1000s of degree Celsius heat. The warhead is made of some refractory ceramic or carbon composite as it gets heated while travelling at 8km per second speed in reentry phase (24Mach) foe some ICBM

CO 2 lasers are here from a long time ,Soviets had It pn their Space stations,The Americans still have it.If not for that what about KALI(It can be used as a Microwave weapon).
