Registration renewal of 15-year-old cars to cost 8 times more from Apr 2022
Starting from April next year, vehicle owners will have to shell out Rs 5,000 for renewal of registration of the cars older than 15 years, which is eight times more than what they currently pay. The road transport and highways ministry has issued a notification for the renewal of the certificate...
This is not pleasant news for old vehicle owners like me. Already they make one jump through multiple hoops for simple things like digitization of data.The burden of compliance and easy peasy target for RTOs/Cops would be hapless middle class tax paying citizens.
Not that whatever papers I have arent digitized,they are computerized printouts after all, its just that the RTOs couldnt be arsed to do a proper data migration of existing computerized data. And people actually need to pay off people to get it done.
Without digitisation cant get records like PUC, and need a PUC for digitisation of records. Its a super mess in this country.

Ya'll Nibbiars but there is a Tiago parked in the society car park and pays 2,000 rupees per months as I don't have any car parking. Well my Amerika wale cousin pays as she is the true owner of that car for her time in India. This is not Khayali Pulao but reality. And also this the New Benz Made in India.

The Mahindra Mahindra have done an excellent job of marketing it. And it was literally a fish market there with the XUV 700.
Did they have a ticker or something which showed 25k bookings.
If not they should at the least honour the bookings made today at the introductory price.
