220mm!?.. Pretty sure that's not up to date.

Even 2A46M-1 has 650.00 MPa chamber pressure & 1800m/s muzzle velocity. Plus that low would never cause such swaying in a 49t tank.
That's why we can safely assume it must be 500mm plus the engine used by export version is 900hp not 1500hp as claimed by porkis.

Assume what you will...
VT-4 has only one version with Norinco 1300hp engine & again, there's no way a round whose chamber pressure can sway a tank heavier than T-90 like that, would have same a penetration as Mango-M.

More possible is 6500-7000Mpa & 650-700mm. Otherwise it'd never have outcompeted Oplot.

Any imminent plans to upgrade T-72 and T-90 turrets and guns to fire Lekalo and Snivets rounds..?

Lol, no.
Remember these inside-outside rubberised tracks they came up for Tank-Ex?.. Not even those have been incorporated into T-90.

And to fire those the T-90 is would actually need modifications to the carousel, auoloader mechanism & possibly turret ring.

Oh great!.. After AK-1 they just inducted VT-4 yesterday. 😐
And unlike the former which was a subsystems upgrade, this platform has much better armour, firepower & mobility than everything we got. Literally, every single spec is better than that of every single Indian tank... Even the weak flank armour of AK has been addressed.

And our corrupt sellouts are going to pay their daddy more royalty for antique T-90S. 😫
Knee jerk reaction of India starts in 3,2,1

The VT-4/MBT-3000 is claimed by NORINCO to be powered by a 1,300hp water-cooled diesel, whose full-scale mock-up was first displayed in November 2018. However, this engine has not yet entered series-production and consequently all VT-4/MBT-3000 units meant for export continue to be powered by 900hp NORINCO-made water-cooled diesel engines.

700mm is the latest ammo used by type 99 do u really think chinkies will export that to porkis.

We should have gone for the tank ex.
Its weight was 47 ton.. so could have been deployed in the mountains.. Also, the weight being the same as T-72 .. would help it cross bridges in the punjab without worries about being overweight..

That actually had legal restrictions that we couldn't afford to violate back then... But now, I think its time to cut our losses with Arjun & use our tech advancements to move forward.

Mount the FMBT turret to get a 4-crewed 50ton Tank-Ex-2.

Not any upgrade but a brand new tank, with Tank-Ex tanks, Ajeya Mark2 aluminium wheels & hull ERA, T-90's mobile camouflage & Arjun's subsystems.

But what about the thousands of T-72 and T-90s.. we need to upgrade them as well..

Tank-Ex tracks, Ajeya Mark2 aluminium wheels & hull ERA, T-90's mobile camouflage & Arjun's subsystems... all can be introduced to T-72/90. Also an internally accessible turret-bustle for the spare ammo (like the Burlak concept).

But unfortunately not such plans exist presently.

Congt to #IndianArmy &
@ADTLOfficial
,T-72M1 with ELOP-TIFCS,enable T-72M1 to fire accurately at night & so does ATGM firing.
Great news if they can indeed fire ATGM, but if it already has thermal imaging for control system then why does it still have the infra-red floodlight that was used earlier for nighttime visibility?
Shouldn't that have been replaced with ERA?
