The way they are holding the Rifle with their off hand....kinda looks like they are trained for C-clamp grip in this particular Rifle.:hmm: Or may be am overthinking !!!
If it is so
It would be great
C - clamp is a great way to use it
Besides
It does look damn good

I've 2 questions :
  1. Are their any plans to manufacture SIG 716 locally under ToT?
  2. Are we standardizing on this rifle?

2. As of now no. It's still a specialized and mission specific weapon.

1. Possibly no.
But in case it's standardized then there are fair chances.

A little known fact about Mr.Costa, he's the first guy in the gun community to reach 100K followers in social media way back in 2011...can't remember but heard it somewhere
The only fact about Costa is his name being synonymous with C-clamp. That's it

There are two soldiers in image holding their Sig Saurs - one is lefty - left hand being master hand and the other is right-handed man.. that makes the difference in how one holds the rifles. The master hand going to piston grip and trigger.

For TOT a large number of rifles need to be ordered.
Standardizing ? Yes but as of now only for front line Infantry & RR troops.

Apparently Army finds these type of vests comfortable. Serves same purpose as plate carriers. Can't ignore the fact that new plate carriers are also being issued & are better.

That 90s camo comes with the helmet by MKU.

Here Indian Navy/NCC guys with same MKU Helmets & camo cover.

Mirror both images, things will start making slightly more sense.

You hold it as per what your dominant hand is. Left or right hand on trigger has nothing to do with C-clamping.
I never stated anything about left or right hand, i talked about "off hand" means your non-dominant hand which stays on handguard...not trigger hand.
The position of Non-Dominant hand is here 90° canted- the palm is facing 9 o' clock side of picatiny rail...although this does not prove anything about C-clamp grip while shooting, may be it just regular hand on bottom grip while shouldering the rifle as we saw earlier videos of soldiers firing this rifle.
