In a historic move, the Army has selected two women officers to train as combat helicopter pilots for its aviation wing, officials said on Wednesday.
The selection came six months after Army Chief General MM Naravane cleared a proposal to induct women as pilots.
As of now, women are allowed in air traffic control and ground duties in the Army aviation wing.

AFSPA is only for Indian army and their ops, CRPF and state police don’t get protection under AFSPA.

Once APSPA is removed, all ops will be portrayed as human rights violations by police and CRPF. with that fear in mind, their ops will only reduce over a period of time. Just like “human rights violations narrative” is used in Naxal areas.
