After upgrade

The jags migs29/& mirage should last upto 2035

Also su3 should last upto 2040 with super upgrade

So those nos will be stable till 2030

The problem is mig21 and mig 27

Tejas can replace them, sorry tejas WILL replace them

How fast ? Is the question

Fgfa & SEcond mrca amca will add nos upto 2030

So upto 2020

When tejas will be fr replacing retiring fighters

The total nos will remain steady

There after the retirement rate of mig21 & mig 27 will be less than induction rate of tejas & other mrca

So the total nos of fighters will increase till 2025-2027

Thereafter tejas if ordered more will increase nos the other mrca should have been finished inducting and the amca fgfa induction should start in full fledged manner by 2028-2030

Which will go toward replacement of mirage jag mig21 from 2032 onwards also increase overall nos in small quantities every year depending upon retirement schedule
Correction here, the last of Mirage 2000 is expected to arrive after upgradation in 2040!!!!
Thats the dumb wisdom of congress and IAf. Pure cannon fodder.
Well we can surely ask Indian army to take those and use as LIFT or CAS planes

The Tejas Mk.1 operational conversion trainer (OCT) forms an excellent platform on which a good LIFT aircraft can be built. Don't know why no-one is spending any time on building such platforms instead of wasting time and money on platforms where foreign alternatives have already been selected, purchased & inducted. Like HTT-40.

Very true, the LCA MK-1 Trainer is the ideal LIFT and a stage 4 trainer i.e to be used after Advanced training on the Hawk. They can easily order atleast 2-3 Sqds for the IAF and 1 for IN to meet this requirement, thats atleast 60-80 additional orders, thus justifiying the need for a greater production capacity. These can be bare bones i.e with basic radar (doesn't matter PESA/AESA), IFR to train pilots in combat like high intensity red-flag style scenarios with live target practice of bombing in CCIP, CCRP modes, dumb bombs, dogfigting skills, counter measures, mid-air tanking etc.
