I want the F-15 to be part of the IAF inventory instead of the MIGs due to the kill ratio of the Eagle.
The kill ratio of the eagle is mainly due to it only taking on weak, undertrained, and underprepared air forces and ganging up to them with technological and numerical superiority.

Hand over Eagle to Pakistan and we probably have the same verdict of 27th Feb (vintage Mig-21 owns F-16A)

During the first Gulf war the odds were the same. They, the Iraqi Air Force had a morally superior fighter fleet to most. The pilots flying the Iraqi aircraft were the elite and not the regulars. They even had an internal plan that sapped the morale of the opposing forces; even against those odds and some technical internal hostile plans, the Eagle was better, morally and as you mentioned technologically. So why not buy a supersonic air superiority (confirmed) fighter? Therefore before we jump into Fulcrums and get even more depressed, why don't we try for the F - 15 EX?

At odds? The americans dominated the conflict from day one.nearly a 1000 aircraft took to air and crushed iraqi airforce in day one alone.only one fa18 was shot down by an iraqi mig 25.iraqi pilots had zero chance.

Tejas timeline is fixed already. The only problem here is the migs are very unreliable and engine changing and airframe refit has to be done in Russia which takes time with logistical time wasted by the ground crew to do all of this in record time for the public. Pilots get depressed due to this. The morale is mostly upbeat in the HAL Tejas squadrons due to engine reliability and the aircraft being mostly composite and requires very little as compared to the inventory. Boeing is already setting up a factory here and are offering the ex version. 21 F-15 aircraft are a big force multiplier.

In 1v1 always F-7... The cranked wing reduce the span-chord aspect ratio & allows greater sustained turn rate, while at the same time allowing greater low-speed maneuverability due to the frontal half acting like a LERX.

THIS IS HOW YOU TAKE A FOREIGN DESIGN & MAKE IT YOURS.
there is a huge discussion happened in past...link here

IMHO...bison can F*ck J-7 anytime anywhere... hell, it even f*cked F-16!!!

F-7's aerodynamic performance is higher in almost all flight profiles, it's even lighter & has better visibility as well. Bison individually has better radar & bvr, but I'm talking platform... that's where Chinks introduced changes. Avionics are comparable in latest ones, with latest AIM-9 integrated to F-7.

Only Indians still believe it fucked a F-16 & we still have no concrete evidence, just radar data in a mountainous area which misguide Pakis about our Su-30 on the very same day. R-73 launched doesn't mean F-16 downed (in case you didn't know, R-73 fired from Tejas once failed to hit a dropping flare in training exercise). But that's beside the point here, just like it wouldn't mean Bison is better than F-16.

Again this topic

What is concrete evidence? Ah right, in the era of the camera, we want 4k-footage of a missile hitting the enemy plane and the exact expression of the enemy pilot while he prematurely releases excrement in face of immediate danger.

Anything other than that is just propaganda.

On a different note, how many AMRAAM and AIM-54 kills were recorded on HD cameras by the American air force and navy in Gulf or Iran-Iraq war? They awarded kills based on splash observed by pilots and radar evidence.

In the case of Mig-21 vs. F-16 :-
  • Splash (and confirmation of kill) was observed by Abhinandan
  • Downing jet's debris coming down was observed by the army BoPs in LoC.
  • Radar signature, confirmation of plane going down and losing radar contact established by both AWACS and ground-based radars.
Yeah but that amounts to nothing in absence of high-definition 4k 3D footage.

R-73 launched doesn't mean F-16 down (in case you didn't know, R-73 fired from Tejas once failed to hit a dropping flare in training exercise)
R-73s have decent ECCM features which detect and avoids going after flares. Also, the missile passed closed by without denotating. And that is exactly what is supposed to do, as a flare cannot trigger its proximity fuse to detonate.

@Bleh I understand your argument was F-7 vs. Mig-21 and I went overboard here, but as Indians, let's not sabotage and distrust our own official statement and GoI. If you give fuel to half-brained Pakistanis here, they will make our life harder later.
