Air Mshl HS Arora VCAS visited College of Air Warfare, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO & AFA at Hyderabad from 21-22 Jan. At CAW, VCAS addressed officers on prevailing security situation & impressed upon necessity of op readiness & expectations from future leadership.

VCAS inspected the MRSAM system, shortly being inducted into IAF & reviewed ongoing weapon & missile projects with DRDO scientists.

At AFA, VCAS reviewed the training faculty and critical infrastructure projects. He also flew sorties on PC-7 & Hawk trainers.

Only piece of information I can get

Basically the wing of the Su 30 mki was almost torn apart. Instead of ejecting, the pilot maneuvered it to ground.

Its reddit so no credibility ofc. But definitely not combat-related, it happened in north-east (via Shiv Aroor, journalist).

But thinking about Shaurya Chakra (3rd highest peacetime gallantry award), the equivalent of which was given to Wing Cdr. Abhinandan for shooting down F-16, it must have been a hecking big feat he pulled of (Wing Cdr Vishak Nair).

It's not going to be purchased anyway, another 100+ heavy fighters along with 272 Su30 will put IAF budget under severe stress and a nightmare to maintain.
