Trolling?
This is not trolling but a plain stupidity from Indian side. In fact these trolling being done for a purpose.

Russia is only true friend of India. Despite of 50% dependency, Russia never black mail India how to run our foreign policy, Russia always offers latest technologies without if’s and but’s and even favouring India during India-China conflict at LAC.

American CAATCA is discriminatory and interfering others foreign policies.

I will suggest please visit Russia then you will realise what India-Russia friendship means. I have personal experience which I wouldn’t like to bring in here. Only problem Russian is they don’t know English hence poor communication to outer world.

Correct. No end user agreement with Russia.
They won't send guys on your base for checking and intel gathering. Blackmailing you and withholding critical spare parts is one of the trait of Yankee.
You become a vassal once you orbit in their sphere. See France trying to regain its erstwhile dignity, but too late.

Y'all Nibbiars , some where we have to compensate for the purchase of s 400and not only it but many more defnese deals with Russia .
Hence for the first time a American fighter will come also , I say it today .
Now the IAF will buy f 15 ex or f 18.
Irrespective of what I stated in my previous post about increased chances of US fighters... I still believe MoD is hard nut to Crack & no US fighters are coming.

Rest about compensation for S-400(Bribing for avoiding CAATSA)... following list is already in pipeline in next 5-7 yrs:

1. Minimum 18 more Apache for Army
2. 15 more Chinook for IAF
3. 6 more C-130J
4. Anywhere between 24 to 123 MH-60R for navy
5. 30 Predator-b UCAV
6. 15-20 V-22 osprey for AFSOD(Rumored)
7. 100s of F404 & F414 engines
8. 1000s of seeker assemblies for MPATGM
9. Dozens of GE LM-2500 engines for Naval ships
10. On & off purchase of a variety of small arms.
11. Looking at attitude of MoD towards ATAGS... Kalyani ULH will meet same fate & more M777 will be ordered
12. Anywhere between 6 to 12 more P-8I

When so much business is at stake... US is not foolish to move forward with CAATSA... & No need to bring fighters in question to sweeten the deal... its already enough!

What do you mean attitude of Mod towards Atags? It was MoD that overruled request of Athos procurement by army and also Mod had given DAC approval for ATAGS way back, it is corrupt army generals that keep changing specifications in last moment or find some or the other problem with it.

Fight is between two opposing lobbies: one within the MoD where the Department for Defence production & Supplies’ Secretary (who is a sitting member of the OFB’s Board of Directors) being duty-bound to mandate the licenced-production of 1,180 ATHOS howitzers by OFB; and the other led by the MoD-owned Defence R & D Organisation, which is lobbying against the ATHOS and instead pushing for the procurement of 1,580 indigenously developed Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS).

I will repeat for nth time: Army ke haath mein kuch bhi nahi hai(they are made villains by the bundlebaaz patrakars hired by MoD IAS officials)

Howitzer saga👇

In March 2019, following exhaustive ‘Field Trials Cum Evaluation Process’ spread over two years of ELBIT’s Autonomous Towed Howitzer Ordnance System or ATHOS (weighing less than 15 tonnes) and Nexter’s Trajan (weighing 13 tonnes), ELBIT Systems was declared the lowest bidder (L-1). ELBIT had quoted €477 million for 400 fully-built ATHOS, while Nexter quoted €776 million, which translated into each ATHOS costing €1.2 million, significantly cheaper than the Trajan’s €1.94 million per unit cost. Thus, the ATHOS cost 40% less than the Trajan. cost negotiation process was successfully completed between SIBAT, the International Defence Cooperation Directorate of Israel’s Ministry of Defence (representing ELBIT Systems) and the MoD in July 2019.

However, in December 2020, SIBAT wrote a letter to the MoD to expedite contract signature and even stated that in case the MoD wanted to order only 400 ATHOS (for 20 IA medium regiments) and forego the option of licenced manufacture, the related cost corresponding to the ToT process can be deducted from the total contract price. In addition, ELBIT Systems through SIBAT offered the ToT for the 1,180 ATHOS as an option for India, at the same cost as mentioned in the commercial offer made. ELBIT has also committed itself to achieve 70% indigenisation within the contract for the first 400 ATHOS howitzers, starting from the first units.
Finally, ELBIT also promised to supply the 400 howitzers much earlier than the contract delivery schedule—the first six within 10 months after contract signing, an additional six within 14 months, and the remainder according to an accelerated delivery schedule, which will ensure finalisation of the deliveries not later than 54 months from the date of contract signature, instead of the 72 months stipulated in the draft contract.

What happened to the Kamov deal? Is it completely cancelled or not? Was there anything significant that came out of the meet or just ak203 that's it?

People have a mental blockade in calling out the people in uniform- it's wired straight to the sense of deshbhakti. Stereotypical civilian bureaucrats- safari suit, pot bellied and oiled hair, are always easier target. The fact of the matter is- they are equally responsible for the condition Indian preparedness is, for good or bad. They operate with one of the biggest budgets and still keep playing catch up with smaller armies like Pakistan in terms of basic stuff like radios, camo, APCs

IAS babu sitting on OFB board can't do squat unless the MoD nominates them for a particular order. While selecting who the order should go to, our forces happily move ahead the files of imported maal(thru some tot manufacturing) and keep the desi maal in lurch. As usual, DRDO or other desi guys (HAL, BEL) oppose- and the process stays stuck. Army ke haath mein bahut kuch hai

In matters of non opposing interests by the DPSU civvie board member- like LUH manufacturing (even Ka226 if locally produced would go to HAL) , who is stopping them from placing orders? DPSU board member as long as his production lines are running should be okay(read money for salaries). For how many years has Ka226 been tested, as compared to LUH? When we see basic things like diesel and tents being sold and smuggled, it's hard to believe that upar baithe doodh ke dhule hain

Since the Mig-21 shot down F-16 thread is locked, posting this here.
Tom Cooper, a reputed military aviation journalist saying the US helped cover up the F-16 loss:

But, hey: seems he's saved one of damaged F-16s, or helped collect wreckage on time (i.e. before this could've been revealed in the public) so everything's fine and he's now receiving a medal for that. And: now we know who was responsible for counting all the PAF F-16s after that Balakot brawl, two years ago.

So It Does Confirm that An Aircraft wreakage can be hidden in Pakistan. God only knows how many Aircraft Wreakages are Being hidden and have been Hidden in Pakistan. to be honest I feel bad For those Pilots who had to have their Lives Disowned to do all of This. those Porkis abandoned them.
This finally does Convince me That the Porkis have hidden the Wreakage of That F-16 which was shot down by WC Abhinandan Varthaman. No wonder they did a Media Blackout there. They have Hidden the Wreakage of That F-16! Tom Cooper has Revealed the Truth about Aircraft Wreakages being Hidden in Pakistan. Now I am Not sure about which F-16s wreakage he is Talking about though(to be honest in my opinion)I have a Strong feeling that it's Wreakage of The F-16 which was shot by our WC Abhinandan Varthaman. Anyways it's not a Surprising thing That an Aircraft Wreckage is being Hidden and it's absolutelely possible when you have all the elements of Society under the Control of The Military. The Pakistanis must be having a lot of experience doing such thing. Also it also Confirms That US is also involved in this type of cover-ups. US is also hand in glove with the Porkis in This regards. So we cannot trust US statement on this type of incidents.

Who is tom cooper BTW?
Who is Tom Cooper?
Tom Cooper is an Austrian aerial warfare analyst and historian. Following a career in the worldwide transportation business – during which he established a network of contacts in the Middle East and Africa – he moved into narrow-focus analysis and writing on small, little-known air forces and conflicts, about which he has collected extensive archives. This has resulted in specialisation in such Middle Eastern, African and Asian air forces. As well as authoring and co-authoring 50 other books and over 1000 articles, including the extensive series on African and Middle Eastern air forces and related air wars, Cooper is the editor of Helion’s five @War series.

Checkmate: Is Russia offering a new mystery fighter to India?
For more than a decade, Russia has been attempting to sell the MiG-35, an upgraded version of the MiG-29 fighter, to the Indian Air Force. Having heavier armament capability and more advanced engines and radar than the vintage MiG-29, the MiG-35 was first presented to the world at Aero India in 2007.

At the time, the MiG-35 had been pitched for an Indian Air Force contract to buy 126 fighter jets. The Indian Air Force was apparently not impressed with the MiG-35, but Russia has continued to describe India as a prospective buyer of the MiG-35. Russia has offered the MiG-35 and the heavier Sukhoi Su-35 for the Indian Air Force tender for 114 fighter aircraft, which has an estimated value of around $15 billion.

Now, just a week before Russia's largest aerospace expo, International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS), begins near Moscow, is Russia offering a 'new' mysterious fighter to India?

Russia's United Aircraft Corporation, a conglomerate of the country's aircraft design bureaus and manufacturers, on Tuesday released a teaser video of the new fighter.

The video appears to show pilots in four nations—the UAE, India, Vietnam and Argentina—waiting for the new aircraft. The Indian pilot is seen playing chess when he gets a text message saying, "It's coming". The aircraft's layout is shown only twice in the 35-second video: First, when it is shown flying over desert terrain and second, its silhouette is seen flying over a water body.

The layout of the aircraft's silhouette appeared to resemble the MiG-35 in its wing design. However, it appeared to have a single-engine exhaust, giving rise to speculation it could be a lightweight single-engine fighter that Russian companies have talked of developing for years. Stephen Trimble, defence editor for Aviation Week, speculated on Twitter the aircraft could be an upgrade of the MiG-35 or a "lightweight stealth fighter".

Giving details of the project, UAC announced it would present a "fundamentally new military aircraft" on July 20. A spokesperson for Rostec, Russia's armament export company, said, "Russia is one of the few countries in the world with full-cycle capacities for producing advanced aircraft systems, as well as a recognized trendsetter in the creation of combat aircraft. The new product developed by UAC specialists should arouse genuine interest not only in our country, but also in other regions of the world, including our competitors abroad."

UAC has launched a website for the project that has been dubbed 'Checkmate', along with a timer for its official unveiling, expected on July 20, the opening day of MAKS.

In May, Russian news agencies reported the Sukhoi design bureau was developing a single-engine fighter. At the time, Russia's TASS news agency had reported, "The Sukhoi company is developing a single-engine light tactical plane with the take-off weight of up to 18 tonnes. The plane’s maximum speed will be above 2 Mach (twice the speed of sound). It will also have super-manoeuvrability and improved take-off and landing performance, thanks to a thrust vector control engine..." Rostec had previously invited India to join the development of a single-engine fighter.

If confirmed as a single-engine fighter, the new fighter could be considered the Russian counter to the US F-35 project, which has been developed with industrial partnerships with multiple nations such as the UK, Australia, Italy and Israel. That would also make the 'checkmate' name apt

Pakistan is unlikely to shed its Kashmir-oriented strategy. It will continue to sponsor terrorism. Pak armed forces have formulated a new concept of war-fighting &has acquired & equipped itself with latest tech, aircraft & upgrade its defence capabilities.

Strategically, we're making a transition from fighting a predominantly defensive war to adopting a more aggressive approach:frusty: for an offensive defence under the nuclear umbrella: Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari in Delhi
