Even in the South, Tipu Sultan converted on a large scale in Malabar region at the point of sword [there is historical proof for this] and wrote glowing letters at having done his divine duty. In his own kingdom he maintained good relations with Hindus for practical reasons of maintaining hold over power. He was no `secular` ruler to be sure as many would describe him today. In Mangalore region he destroyed temples and churches, at which the local Christians pleaded for British protection. Hindus died in fact protecting the churches who are still remembered to this day by grateful Christians.

If populations were converted 'by the sword' why did it take so many centuries for the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (which were conquered early on by the Arabs) to have a majority Muslim population? You have not answered this.

India wants positive relationship with countries but UK try to meddle into our internal affairs that's the issue if they will keep doing that we will keep our relationship focused towards economic factors only not in strategic area.
