I thought US was funding the new improved version with longer range and better capabilities.Don't you mean America's Iron Dome? They are paying for it.

arrow has 30% American parts but tech id is 100% made in Israel productWill USA allow the transfer even if Israel agrees? Remember Arrow II?
iron dome was built with Israeli funds after initial successesDon't you mean America's Iron Dome? They are paying for it.
That was mere lip service nothing which Israel is going to take seriously with close friends like US/India.If you call this as diplomacy then yeah I have no clue...
India could have simply made a statement asking both of them to maintain restraint and then asked for Iron dome, no ? Doesn't this sound better ?
eh...?? please explain ...!!iron dome was built with Israeli funds after initial successes
Americans gave 200 m$ in exchange for the tech
the Americans wanted data from our system including battlefield experience this data is invaluable in future development off missile defenseeh...?? please explain ...!!
I don't think we need this system:
1. We are not israel. Our population doesn't live close to the borders. We don't have pressing need for short range interceptors.
2. It is wrong to assume that Nasr can be countered by Iron Dome. We have a huge border and Iron dome is a short range interceptor. We will need a lot more than 5 batteries for this system to be effective. Singapore ordered it cos its a small country.
3. Its costly.
Sitting in Netherlands, you are not making a lot of sense either.sitting in lucknow talk non sense is easy.

found it on wiki....The initial funding and development of the Iron Dome system was provided and undertaken by Israel.[23] This allowed for the deployment of the first two Iron Dome systems.[24] Subsequently, funding for an additional eight Iron Dome systems—along with funding for a supply of interception missiles—is currently being provided by the United States, with two of these additional systems having been delivered by 2012.
r u serious singh. who live close to border in punjab ????? dunger or insaaan.Sitting in Netherlands, you are not making a lot of sense either.![]()
However, DC1's premise is reasonable. Most of our population lives far away from the borders unlike Israel
Okay answer a few questionsr u serious singh. who live close to border in punjab ????? dunger or insaaan.
yes it is true the Americans funded 4batterys in exchange for for datafound it on wiki....
is it true...?? it means Iron dome is entirely Israeli tech in a way and Americans are only funding the production....
you r from punjab dont u know how much our border villages populated specially Punjab forget rajastan and Gujarat and JammuOkay answer a few questions
1. How much population of India lives near the borders. Say upto 50kilometers ?
2. What is the purpose of iron dome ?
3. What kind of weapons does the enemy have ?

India's population is 1.2 billion, at most a few million live within 50kms of the border. And the border itself is very long, several thousand miles.you r from punjab dont u know how much our border villages populated specially Punjab forget rajastan and Gujarat and Jammu
our enemy has same weapons as we have. example smerch rockets. tank fires, howitzer fire .
pakis have similar system ,a copy version of smerch supplied by chinese PHL-03India's population is 1.2 billion, at most a few million live within 50kms of the border. And the border itself is very long, several thousand miles.
Look at the economic feasibility.
The enemy doesn't have smerch, and tank munitions cannot be intercepted by Iron dome. What kind of role will the Pakistani arty will play ? will it be used to target population centers or to provide support to their military ?
How many of them do they have ? and how does Pak army intend to use them ?pakis have similar system ,a copy version of smerch supplied by chinese PHL-03
forget villagers let them die.what about expensive equipment and troops along with borders????
How many of them do they have ? and how does Pak army intend to use them ?
How expensive is the equipment ? Does it justify the cost of Iron Dome ? is it not cheaper to shift this equipment beyond the range of Enemy's arty ?
As per Cold Start Doctrine, Indian troops will be rapidly advancing into Pak territory, how will Iron Dome protect them there ?
