2. China has suggested that the Indian Defence Minister visit China in 2020 and has also requested that the chiefs of the army, navy and air force visit China. In the note verbale to India, China says that there should be a visit to China by Indian border troops and also, by Indian air force personnel. While a visit to China by the Indian Navy chief, Admiral Sunil Lanba, was being considered, it is unlikely to happen, high-level government sources said. Instead, a vice-admiral or a rear-admiral's visit is being talked about.

3. The Chinese have also called for visits by Indian warships to ports in China and vice-versa, and joint escort missions in the Indian Ocean area. This is primarily to counter pirates.

India is currently looking at the requests by China. Then, there will be a suitable response, sources said.

Bluff Called Out: Experts Reject Imran Khan’s Claim Of ‘Major Oil, Gas Discovery’ In Pakistan

Industry experts have rejected tall claims made by Imran Khan that Pakistan is going to make a major breakthrough in discovering its largest oil and gas reserves in the Arabian Sea.

The Kekra-1 well, G Block where the discovery is expected to happen has already been drilled to a depth of 3,700 meters which is 1,800 meters away from the target of 5,500 meters.

The spud drilling activities at Kekra-1 well was kicked off with $75-80 million by joint venture with 25 percent share each. ENI, an Italian company, is operator of the Kekra well-1. Exxon Mobile, OGDCL and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) are the sleeping partners of the joint venture.

A top official said, "It is too early to claim a major discovery," he also added quoting the data of ENI, "Earlier the well was drilled to a depth of 4,900 meters when a high pressure was felt causing huge mud loss and because of unsafe operation the well was plugged. Then the first side tracking started and when it reached down to 3100 meters, then it again met failure which is why the hole was also blocked and now the second side tracking is still underway."

Upon consulting the Additional Secretary and spokesman for the Petroleum Division Sher Afgan, confirmed that when drilling reached a depth of 4,800 meters, the sudden kick pressure came up causing imbalance to the drilling structure owing to which the drilling braved the mud loss.

GA Sabri, former special secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and former DG Oil said "Kick pressure was no sign of a major discovery. He said TOTAL had earlier spud the well in G Block and its depth target was 5,000 meter, but it abandoned the well just before 5,000 meter depth ensuring no discovery."

He explained, "Prior to drilling the Kekra-1, the probability of discovery was 19 percent, but after two sides tracking, the probability had reduced."


A total of 17 attempts were made since 1963 to drill wells for oil and gas but nothing has been discovered.

Companies like Shell, Sun Oil Company, Winter Shall, Marathon Oil Company, Husky Company, OGDCL, Occidental Company, Canterbury, Total and Ocean company have tried deep sea drilling with little no success in making any significant discoveries of oil and gas reserves.

The US just ‘invaded’ an island in the East China Sea & no one noticed

Just recently, the US military launched a full-on invasion of an island in the East China Sea to send a strong message to China, and yet barely any mainstream media outlet has covered the story or its massive implications.

Last week, US marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit invaded a tiny island in Japan’s Okinawa archipelago, known as Ie Shima. Ie Shima is approximately 23 sq km, holds an airstrip, a fishing port and a local population of about 4,500 inhabitants.\

Island-snatching will be “critical for us to be able to project power in the context of China,” Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also said at the beginning of March to a Senate Armed Services Committee.

I think he reported what he knew..If there has been some problem we must accept it...Our defence sector has suffered a lot...And we need atleast 2 more terms of a strong nationalist govt to take indian defence might where it should be....Manu was also the person who reported mission shakti news before others... cousin of my friend died in mirage trainer crash ....So problems are there..And we are not infallible state with Teflon coating and backing of almighty allah himself like our neighbor.....We have brave men who put their life on line for the sake of people like us..Their family deserves to know the truth..And it must be unearthed.....

After ASAT success, India to create space doctrine with Ajit Doval in charge

The space doctrine will provide a framework for the response/ activation of India's ASAT if a foreign threat is identified.

After the successful testing of anti-satellite (ASAT) missile under Mission Shakti, India is now ready to have a space doctrine of its own which would be prepared by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Prime Minister Narendra Narendra Modi has already given a go-ahead to the setting up of this space doctrine which will lay down the procedure for operationalisation of India's new space defense capability. NSA Ajit Doval also heads the Indian Ballistic Missile Defence Programme at the the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)

The space doctrine would also entail the creation of a space command on the lines of Nuclear Command Authority to identify any possible threat to the Indian satellites and activate the ASAT programme for a proper response to such attack, senior officials at DRDO and Union Home Ministry told Hindustan Times.

"We need to set up offensive/ defensive steps needed in case Indian satellites are destroyed/ degraded or there is access denial by an adversary through electro-magnetic radiation," an official said.

One of the SAM was indeed fired.

The question is India has Spyder MR whose range is 50 km.

Now Porkis were 70-100 Km away from Heli crash site. Assuming SAM was there to defend Sri Nagar then SAM shouldn't have fired on those jets.

That it was hit by a missile was pretty clear early on (definitely not Pakis.....as helo was beyond the reach of their missiles). The initial statements made by IAF too clearly indicated that friendly fire was a possibility.
