India need to get into the path of rapid indigenization of its defense equipment's.

Diversify and source out procurement of defense equipment which India has already done ... now indigenous and Swadeshi technology is the only way out

It is not the question of trusting Russia but the priorities have changed for both the countries and we have to accept it ...

Also, i am hopeful that we have raised our concerns regarding Roos sale of advanced gadget to CCP.

Well china is russias biggest trading partner 100 billion usd plus trade.But Russia has a long border with China. A warning shot was already fired at vladivostok .With its miniscule population and cash stripped military , Russia cannot defend its huge territories from Chinese expansionism.

How about russia's blossoming relations with Pakistan and weapon sales ?? Starting with rd-93 engine sales . Russia needs to realize they will not be a primary weapon supplier in the future. India-Russia trade is less than India bangladesh trade.

You need massive RnD and learning curve is steep.
Moreover, you buying weapons helps keeping some major countries on your side. Lets us not jump from Soviet bandwagon to now uncle Sam bandwagon.

Russia selling weapons to Pakistan is not an issue, since Uncle Sam gives more.
True the market share of Russia is going to decrease unless they give more interesting deals and more competitive weapons they will see their share eaten up by Indian, western and Israeli competitors.
But we should still go with the S-400 deal

It's not shocking. Western sanctions have made Russians go towards Chinese side and Russians and porks also want to have a positive point of view on taliban which india doesn't share. It's quite obvious that Chinese want Russians to finish it's bitter past with pakistan and engage with them.

And between india and Russians US also exist.

But i would it's okay in past few decades india is constantly getting blackmailed by Russians by using pakistan. Now it's pretty okay if thing's are in open air.



Russia - Pak defence relationship already exist Rd-33 engines are robust example of that.

I would say that it's okay that Paki are getting we should not be afraid of that. After all Russia will not give weapons for free.
