Ballistic goggles are designed to provide protection against low velocity small projectiles and fragments. Dust and wind. Limited spectrum of common lasers (laser lenses). These goggles also offers 100% UVA/UVB protection, and premium Clear Zone anti- fog / anti-scratch coatings. Those goggles which they are carrying over the helmet. What kind of protection does those goggles offer? Are those bullet proof?
AFAIK, The Indian Army has decided to junk the Future Infantry Soldier As a System (F-INSAS) program in favor of two separate projects. The new program will have two components: one arming the modern infantry soldier with the best available assault rifle, carbines and personal equipment such as the helmet and bulletproof vests and the second component is the Battlefield Management Systems (BMS).We had F-INSAS (combat gear)..but it was scrapped.

What about F-INSAS... is it dead?
Can you throw some light on this?
