You are partially right that US wants a Independent Balochistan but not for the reasons you think. In 2006 Lt.Col. Ralph Peters published a map or should I say a vision to solve the problems of Middle East. He suggested reimagining Middle Eastern borders along the lines of ethnic, sectarian and tribal lines to ease tensions between various groups. This map was not just about Balochistan it was about most Muslim nations in Middle East and Asia. Here is the map which was published:

Ralph Peters says "The boundaries projected in the maps accompanying this article redress the wrongs suffered by the most significant ‘cheated’ population groups, such as the Kurds, Baluch and Arab Shia, but still fail to account adequately for Middle Eastern Christians, Bahais, Ismailis, Naqshbandis and many another numerically lesser minorities…"

Afghanistan has plenty of mineral wealth with estimates ranging from $1 Trillion - $4 Trillion. US is already in Afghanistan. But right now Afghanistan is not conducive for any economic activity. In order to supply their troops US has to use air space which is an expensive option or use the supply routes in Pakistan. And Pakistanis have played double game in the War on terror and also has played ball many times blocking the supply routes. And then there is Iran which has threatened to block strait of Hormuz in the past. US cannot stay in Afghanistan forever however they can have a military base in Balochistan which is a perfect location to counter Iran and keep an eye on Afghanistan at the same time. And this can happen only when Balochistan is independent. US used Shamsi Airfield in Balochistan for 10 years from 2001 to 2011 for drone operations. With Balochistan becoming independent Pakistan will lose all importance as the US can use supply routes in Balochistan without depending on Pakistan.

With China in the fray in the region let there be no doubt the cold war in Asia has begun.

Actually Indians should propagate this narrative of invisible superpower afghans .......and then start a civil wars between pashtoons and panjabis ..... pashtoons are a powerful community in Pakistan if they start killing panjabis ..... Pakistan army would not able to control them and they would again disintegrate just like Bangladesh. .

It’s a Possibility but Pakjabis outnumber the Pashtuns 3 to 1 in Numbers. Ironically Majority of Pashtuns in Pakistan live in Panjab than in KPK. Some of them are recent economic immigrants while others settled there from the time of the Delhi Sultanate to the British Occupation of India. Punjabi also has shit ton of guns as well. Panjab has one of the highest gun ownerships in terroristan. The Panjabis also got the support the pork army. Which is a institution run by the panjabis. Only way I can see Pashtuns winning is by going full guerrilla warfare like the Taliban.

There's a reason why punjabis dominate Pakistan, And punjabis mean nothing if you are comparing clans, apparently around 20 % population in Pakistan is Gujjar and 10-15% jats/jatts and then rajputs etc,then there are mojahirs and others, Many of them to this day carry there clan surname, infact Afghanistan too have gujjar population, so jatts, gujjars, rajputs all are tribal and economically much more powerful than pashtuns.
Pashtuns are more famous because of Taliban.

There was a old case of riot between pashtuns and punjabis, pashtuns were slaughtered.

If pashtuns were really stronger they would have been ruling pakistan but they are just rent a abdul to "punjabis" and what was done in FATA by punjabi army against them is well known.

Edit: Its not that Pashtun is a weak community, they are continuously subjected to war since eternity and are very brave and tough, its just they are not economically and politically that powerful compared to gujjar, jats, rajas of pakistan which control major spheres of power there.

I agree Pashtuns are a economically and even sometimes Socially backward in some areas in both Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pashtuns are still stuck in there tribal identity and Pashtuns on the majority are still stuck in there old and backwards tribal customs combined with repressive sharia laws. They are now following the bidding and orders of the Pakjabis without question as both terrorists and as mercenaries for the Pakjabi government. Panjabis as people group has done better than all other groups in Pakistan. They are more financially stable and carries the most authority. It will be hard to overthrow a Panjabi dominated government by other ethnic groups.
