Jokes aside, I hope we're working on pumping up the Baloch & Pashtuns so that they really can exact severe casualties from Pak eventually, with the long term goal of creating a completely hostile and unsustainable situation for the Pakistani state in those territories some day.
Why do you think there's a sudden spurt in attacks on the Paki Army in Balochistan?

One reason why there is a spurt in reporting of attacks on Paki army is they show LOC casualties as killed in Balochistan and Afghanistan border to avoid repurcusion and pressure of Paki awam for all out war which they know they can't win.

The time to break India was in the 90s. It was a golden chance for enemies which is gone for good. If it couldn't be broken then, it can't be broken now.

> Kashmir Insurgency was going into full swing
> Punjab hadn't been quelled yet
> India was staring bankruptcy in the face
> Western world still largely supported Pak, and exerted massive pressure on India
> Liberal global ecosystem attacking India over HR in insurgency hit areas + communal issues
> Mandal Issue, and resulting politics
> Babri issue, complete communal divide, severe rioting
> Bombay Blasts
> "Coalition" and "Jod-Tod" politics at its worst with no stable Gvt
> Embargo/sanctions post-nuclear tests

And so on, so forth. If India didn't break back then, who can do anything now?
Agree with most of your points. But the problem can come from inside and not outside. Like see how Bengal is going out of control.. NE is always stressed as China supports NAxals, ULFA etc. Kerala is also not doing good... We have so many enemies to fight within India.. that;s my concern.

BJP is doing a great job on resolving the Northeast and its legacy issues. Hopefully, if they form the next Gvt there, they'll be able to clean up Bengal too - otherwise if Mamata keeps crossing the line, they can always start intervening more directly.

Far south (Kerala especially, and TN to lesser extent) is probably the most pressing concern. But even at its worst, it may provide room for Islamist terror groups, but there's no scope for an actual successful separatist movement.

Any major catastrophe would only give BJP a chance to crack down and bring President's Rule.

Unfortunately ISI has similar strategy for India- to destabilize from the east. Hope we stand up well to that challenge.
Now, it is not the time to think about protection.
Time now is to become powerful and give pakis in return what they gave us in nineties.
This artificial nation which ask a guy whenever he goes for anything to government "Are you Muslim?" or "Are you from Punjab?" does not at all deserve a nation status.
I have seen such bastards.

Further the acceptance of BJP in south is very minimal. Also the party has no good mass-pulling leaders. BJP should probably ignore minor issues like Jallikattu. Anyway, I am deviating the topic.. will quote your post in another relavant thread.

Refrain from using derogatory words! Criticism and humor can go on as they are going. Quality of forum has improved a lot without ad hominems and analytical threads and posts are shining.
Why demean them?

Since people on this forum follow such operations quite closely IMO a separate resource thread (no discussions allowed) should be made for this purpose, showing number of terrorists killed, location and date of the operation.
