A report in Pakistan newspaper 'Jang' has said that India and Pakistan might soon get involved in bilateral cricket series again with a possibility of the six-day window for a three-match T20I series later in the year.
Is there any confirmation from BCCI? This happened even last time and BCCI rejected that all.

Good points- some response inline:

My $0.02

1> Pakistan cannot be trusted. At all.
100%, Do not trust- but verify- borrowing from Coupta Ji.
2> The current lull is primarily due to Pak's need of reprieve on eastern border to focus on: Pak's economic doldrums, US pressure on Pak for Afg exit route, Instability in B'Stan, Instability on western front of Pak, Instability with Pakhtun population.
Not true. Pakistan has been forever in doldrums if khairat driven economy is what you mean. With insanely rich, abject poor and no real middle class- that has been the case for several decades. 9/11 and WoT came as a gigantic financial life line to them.
3> The moment Pak regains decent stability and firmer economic footings, the Jihad shall start again.
How will they gain such a footing? They are still agrarian mostly or expatriate workers and manufacturing is a non-starter as China has flooded their markets.
4> Pak will certainly look to get US weapons in exchange for cooperation. Any supply of US weapons to Pak should result in losses to US businesses in India, as well as a repeat S400 order. Fuck CAATSA. That being said, I don't think the US will supply weapons to Pak given that it needs India's cooperation against China. And China is an area of mutual interest for both the US and India.
US is already denying them AH-1Zs/T-129 ATAKs/F-16s etc though it may have more to do with clandestinely harboring OBL than any love for India.
5> Upcoming terror attacks will be as spectacular as Mumbai or Pulwama. Remember that if 100 terrorist teams are attempting a strike, then it takes only 1 to succeed. There will be no dilution in the quantum of damage they want to deal to us.
They have already been apprised of the costs of such an adventure- they are free to try.
6> Similarly an intifada type movement will be attempted again in J&K, with the issue being outsiders are getting settled in Muslim lands.
PDP/NC/Hurriyat are already a pale shadow of their old self- laws that strengthened their position are long gone. Hopefully conditions not conducive for another intifada.

From our end we can do a few things:
1> Detailed study of Pak's export markets and outcompete Pak products with cheaper and better Indian goods.
Footballs I think. That's it.
2> Continued pressure to push Pakistan on FATF's black list. Even if it fails, the gray list will keep bleeding them.
👍
3> Encourage political and secessionist unrest in Pak.
👍. Munh mein Ram, Bagal main churi.
4> Target that Pak's middle class suffer economically. Average Pakistani middle class citizen must have a hard time because of very high inflation, and there must be a sense of despondency within the citizenry.
That won't work. Middle class is too small to protest. Need something that gets to the rich to see effective change. May be work through UN bodies like FATF to bring all tax havens like Cayman Islands, Switzerland, British Virgin Islands etc into tight scrutiny so that dirty money from Pakistan cannot be laundered.
5> Tighten medical visas from Pak.
Counter productive- the aim should be to drive a wedge between PA and the people it supposedly protects.
6> Maintain the CF for a while but break it on our terms when needed.
CF is good for us. No infiltration, no deaths on LoC.
7> Unearth political and military scandals in Pak and scandalise their leadership when needed.
👍
8> Prop up propagandists like Gaurav Arya who questions Pakistan's ideology and Islam, and disses Pk citizens on a daily basis. Make such videos viral in Pak.
👍
9> 100 % utilisation of our share of the Indus waters treaty. Will affect Pak food supplies and drive up inflation even further.
👍 but it may not have the desired effect since they also don't use most of the water at their end and it just ends up in the Arabian sea.
10> Strike deals and use diplomatic pressure on both western countries and Russia to ensure that China becomes Pak's #1 military supplier. It will accelerate Pak's colonisation by the Chinese.
China and Turkey major suppliers with Russia supplying some non-offensive platforms
11> Pressurize companies that have sizeable presence in Pak to cease operations there. We can inceltivize them to do so, and penalise them if they disagree. A few big brands like Pak Suzuki, Pak Honda, Pak Toyota, Standard Chartered Bank, etc are some worthwhile names. Expect the Chinese companies to not comply, which will hasten our process of kicking them out of our markets.
Unlikely to happen- no business will want to loose access to any market.
my own 2 cents: Kill the Kashmir bogey (settle it either at LoC or PoJ+GB) and suddenly the Pakistanis will get off the K-drug. This will snuff out oxygen from the unholy Mullah+Military nexus. People who now donate on streets for the Kashmir cause or send their sons for jihad will ask their politicians to deliver development, hospitals, jobs etc and question the size of PA and the role of Fauj Foundation. Why must every Pakistani establishment be ruined by a retired Pak Fauji as its head? Pakistanis must question CPEC, how many blue collar jobs for Pakis it generated, skills transferred, value added to Pakistani economy and why they are paying circular debt, taking more debt just to pay interest component of debt. Let's see if handsome can still say- Apne ghabrana nahi hai, because then it will be IK's turn to be anxious.

And our issue is that “peace talks” are usually followed by major terror attacks.
Well.. its not that Modi is dying to hold talks with Pakistan.. Its that India is not powerful enough to rebuff every overture by Pakistan, and looke like a villain to US, Russia and China, when all these great powers have great use for Pakistan. So, India will go through the motions, until the next terror attack.. Kyunki as they say: "Majboori ka naam Mahatma Gandhi "

I guess just replace “India is not powerful” to “India is not irresponsible”, rest is fine.

Wishful thinking. Its own public has been marinaded in Jihad sauce forever now. And it has reached critical mass. Settling J&K means defeat for 2 nation theory, islamic superiority over idolators, etc. That won't happen. A mega war between Ind and Pk is only a matter of time.

I don’t know why we are afraid of War, I mean we should not have war but should use our brains, what is the biggest disadvantage pakistan having? Economy! Why no raise tensions which will cause them to lose out a lot of money on mobilisation, they can’t fight. They can fight for just a day or two, not more than that, if they’re lucky they can stretch to 3 days max to max.

Read my article why Pakistan’s economy is in a nightmare situation.

A Secret ISI-RAW Channel, Talks Since 2018: What Led to India-Pakistan LoC Ceasefire

Foundations for last month’s ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) were laid during a series of one-on-one secret meetings between senior intelligence officers at a London hotel in 2018, government sources have told News18. The meetings, the sources said, were authorised by Pakistan’s chief of army staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and India’s National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval.

Involving a polo-playing General from an aristocratic family, and an ethnic Tamil career intelligence officer responsible for espionage operations targeting Pakistan, the talks began months after Prime Minister Imran Khan took office in 2018, the sources said.

2 nation theory was buried in 1971 (famously in the Bay of Bengal) when Pakistan fractured based on language. Kashmir is just a red herring for their awaam and an irritating stick at multilateral fora for India- though increasingly becoming irrelevant for us. Mega war with Pak will never happen- the last full scale war on that front already happened resulting in Bangladesh. If they could win an open war then why resort to proxy? When India provoked them on 5 Aug 19 why did they not go to full scale war with India to rescue Kashmiris? Even in the 65 war their para commandos were thrashed by locals and handed over to the police/army in Kashmir. In Kargil they could not hold heavily advantageous positions at Himalayan heights even as IA was fighting them both hands tied behind back by treating LoC as laxman rekha. Kashmir/Punjab insurgency was a way to get back at India for B'desh and the strongest chance of that happening was in the 80s and 90s when insurgencies were at its peak. Since then India has grown in all dimensions- national power & prestige.

As for Islamic fanaticism/superiority- the aam abdool would like 2 naans & nihari on his plate rather than care for these things. With oil losing its luster in near future hopefully Wahhabism will die a natural death. However, if they continue down the road it will be only more of one Paki killing another based on sect & sub-sect.

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 24 (IANS):
Terming the growing economic and military collusion between Pakistan and China as New Delhi's "failure of diplomacy", Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday said by delaying resolution of the farmers' crisis, the BJP-led Central government was allowing Pakistan to take advantage of dissatisfaction emerging in the state.
