Russia has no veto in Afghanistan.. Also, Russia is a much reduced power with an economy roughly half that of India. Russia basically has limited capacity to shape things today, as compared to the days of the soviet union.. In fact, Pakistan by itself, exerts a lot more influence in Afghanistan than Russia.. Hence, despite all the glamor, and superpower hangover, Russia chooses the path of least resistance.. But, well, India in partnership with Iran, has the capacity today to upset anybody's apple cart in Afghanistan.. Will India shun its traditional lethargy is another question..

Wrong. AZ licensed SII, not contracted. AZ is not the sole deciding entity. AZ is not sending the vaccines to GAVI, it’s SII. As for not doing anything, GoI can restrict any sales but that’s neither good sense nor will it help the reputation of Indian Firms being reliable partners.
