Foreign Support to Terrorists

The Government has declared 42 organisations as terrorist organisations and listed their names in the First Schedule of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Terrorism in India has largely been sponsored from across the border.


The numbers of the terrorists and persons killed during terrorist attacks in the hinterland of the country and Jammu and Kashmir during the last three years and current year are as below:

The Government has taken various steps in this regard including strengthening of legal framework, streamlining of intelligence mechanism, setting up of National Investigation Agency (NIA) for investigation and prosecution of terror related cases, having various hubs of National Security Guards (NSG), stepping up border and coastal security, modernization of police forces and capacity building of state police forces, etc. Due to concerted and coordinated efforts of all the stakeholders, terrorism related violence has been contained to a large extent in the country.


This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri G.Kishan Reddy in a written reply to question in the Lok Sabha today.

Yes.. Russia thinks Pakistan, US and China are the ones in a position, to make the most difference in Afghanistan.. The US tried to go against Pakistani interest in Afghanistan, but Pakistan didn't let that happen.. India is not playing hardball in Afghanistan.. Only when India shows the ability to alter facts on the ground, by teaming up with Iran,will the Russians take India seriously

CAG India appointed chairman of UN Panel of External Auditors for 2021

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu has been again appointed as the chairman of the Panel of External Auditors of the United Nations for 2021, according to a statement issued by his office.

The UN panel consists of 13 countries—India, Germany, Chile, China, United Kingdom, France, Philippines, Switzerland, Italy, Ghana, Indonesia, Canada and Russia.

The CAG was elected as chairman of the panel last year as well.

Currently, the CAG is also the external auditor of the World Health Organization, Geneva (2020 - 2023) and Food & Agriculture Organization, Rome (2020 - 2025) and Inter Parliamentary Union (2020-2022)

We can’t do anything about it, SII manufactures COVISHIELD (AtraZeneca) Vaccine under contract hence AstraZeneca has the right to supply the vaccines not SII. So they are sending vaccines for GAVI assistance to Porkistan and the same vaccines would be made in India.
