My reply was for your assumed theory Apache attacking when troopers are in house or surrounded.
Also no need to compare with Apache usage in Afghanistan because IAF will never use them to their potential also Apache is bought by IAF for air shows and land on crops of farmers
I presume what you said that 'the Apache is bought by IAF for air shows and land on crops of farmers' was with a tinge of sarcasm.
Firstly, Apaches are very expensive toys that were acquired NOT for CI/CT ops in Kashmir.
Secondly, the Apaches will enhance the capability of IAF in providing integrated combat aviation cover to the army strike corps/IBGs
Thirdly, Apaches acquired by the Army will be fully integrated with the IBGs on the Western border. They would be in support/under command of the strike corps in the Eastern Sector too.
Fourthly, these attack choppers will not be used for close air support (CAS) in CI ops in the Valley. However, they could be employed to boost the capabilities of the IAF for conducting cross-border ops integrated with fighter strike packages, on strategic targets.
