Well, pakis don’t know what was our objective, or if that has been already fulfilled. Learning from Balakot, we probably have 4K 60fps videos of our planes over Karachi.

And what they will brag about? That they were able to repel an attack on Karachi? The sole feat of our jets breaching Pakistani maritime boundary and going over Karachi is 90% of psyops done and will reveal their own shortcomings.

Imagine if we brag that we stopped PAF attack on Mumbai. Dude how did PAF jets even reach Mumbai is the bigger question rather than repelling the attack.
same was revealed during balakot.... you are expecting pakis to have a normal IQ, whereas they go solely by what their military puts out as version of truth.

Image shows PAF F16 deploying countermeasures. Dodging missiles?
others can confirm.

It seems PAF have an SOP to deploy flares immediately after takeoff from Karachi During high alert, this happened after URI attach too when they were on high alert.

That video too is available on URI aftermath thread...

I am of the opinion they do that in Karachi because of the dense civilian apartments next to their airport, to counter possible SAM incoming.

Like I said, avoid OSINT for a couple days until things settle. They are trying to boost viewership by exaggerating claims.

It's that's their sop then it means niether their air defense works nor f16 radar could see incoming jets / Sam's.

I would give them more credit than this.

Both wrong. PA could never fully account for all the stingers it passed around. This is a precaution for those manpads when the jet is most vulnerable.

Did Pakistan shoot down its own F-16 aircraft amid blackout panic in Karachi?

On Tuesday night, the Pakistani security establishment and the citizens were found panic-stricken after there were rumours that Indian Air Force had crossed the Line of Control (LoC) to fly over Karachi and other areas of Sindh.

The rumours got strengthened after there were also reports of Karachi city blackening out at the same time when sound of aircraft hovering on the port city could be heard by Karachi residents. A few local residents of Karachi had confirmed that the city was put under ‘blackout’. Rumours were after rumours of Indian Air Force fighter jets went close to Karachi and other parts of Sindh.

Following the scare, there were reports that, amidst the panic, the PAF had scrambled its fighter jets from Masroor airbase in response to Indian Air Force’s action along the LoC. Indian Air Force had denied reports suggesting that their aircraft had crossed the Line of Control.

Hours later, there are unconfirmed reports emerging from the social media, that the Pakistan Air Force, amidst all the panic, had confused one of its own F-16 fighter aircraft for IAF fighter aircraft and shot it down.

Various social media users took to Twitter to state that one PAF F-16 fighter aircraft had not returned to Masroor airbase after it was sent to Combat Air Patrolling mission to detect and push back Indian fighter jets. The aviation experts alleged that Pakistan Air Force had shot down its own F-16 aircraft involved in CAP mission by mistaking it to Indian jets.

However, both the Pakistan Air Force and the ISPR have maintained a radio silence over the incident and neither of them have publicly put out any statements about the incident of alleged shooting of one of its F-16 fighter jets.

To summarise, there is no official confirmation or denial on this.

But needless to say, the Pak PTB will never confirm if their F-16 was really shot down by their AD in 'friendly fire'.

Please avoid posting fake news. We all know that pic and it is pak jet ejecting flares last year and it has nothing to do with this rumour.

If Iaf did send jets in attack formation towards karachi but didn't violate Pak airspace then it must be a Diversion for something else.

And if it did violate paki airspace then we can speculate anything and everything and run our imagination as we'll probably never know

And third and i think probably it was nothing but pakis getting scared of their own farts and paki twitter hysteria feeding Indian osint trollers.
