i doubt it. we've been lighting up the LoC and the PA has been suffering heavy losses. Meanwhile, India is upping the concealed war within the punjabs adjoining provinces like kashmir, balochistan, gilgit-balt. Add to the mix runaway inflation and you're looking at balkanization. In response, China in an attempt to give Pakistan some breathing room has stacked their side of LAC. It failed and now there will be drawn out negotiations for smaller border disagreements. India to give itself leverage on top of the recent diplomatic victory and to show Pakistan that China is incapable of bailing it out pretty much said "fck you" and immediately resumed targeted artillery bombardment in PoK and this time took out the 32nd Brigade in Dudhnial. It also mobilized its strategic air wing close to Sindh border too add salt in the wound. Its possible that we may have bagged a high value asset. Guess well find out over the next few days.

First, why would China want to loose life and limb for the sake of GB. After all, it is just a business venture for Chinese. Second, China cannot help Pakistan even if it wanted to. It will be very easy for India to ambush Chinese coming through those passes. It won't even need artillery or air power. Just a few guys with anti-materials rifles, ATGMs and machine guns would be enough to block those passes. Pakistan should have learned this lesson in 1971 but I guess they are not good learner. In 1971 too China promised to help Pakistan but at the end did nothing or could do nothing to stop India.

It all has to do with energy markets. Gilgit Baltistan is a strategic piece of real estate which can potentially give india access to hydrocarbons in Central Asia and Russia. Right now there is a complex game being played. India is leveraging its partnership with the US and Russia to better manage China. However, India needs China to counterbalance the US and take the lead in eroding dollar denominated oil trading. What Gilgit Baltistan allows us to do is trade directly with Russia and slowly offload our dollar reserve. We could see a petro-rupee or laxmi lol. But thats a different topic.

Pakistanese trolls are highly active right now. So something has happened for sure. China distraction was meant to dissuade India from hitting Pakistanese terror launchpads. China backed off after realizing India was not messing around. And the result was Pakistan getting bombed again - Balakot style. It must be very depressing from the Pakistanese perspective; they were counting on Chinese to help them.

What happens if IAF keeps intruding into Pak air space does damage but unlike Balakot, we don't claim them? I guess Pak itself will never say this happened in public for their H&D. So does that mean we can keep doing this & taking out targets with impunity?

Also everytime there is talk of taking back PoK, we hear how difficult a ground offensive will be. But why does it have anything to do with ground offensive? Can we not use air and sea to keep attacking them, damaging their assets, taking out their capabilities with one very specific demand "Unless your people regulars as well as terrorists go back behind the IB, we will continue doing this at time and place of our choice.

Is this a probable scenario? Why do we have to declare a war?
