SRINAGAR: Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin escaped a rumoured assassination attempt in Islamabad last Monday with injuries and has been holed up in a safe house since, fuelling speculation in J&K that all's not well between the terror outfit and ISI.

Sources said Salahuddin, who lost his most trusted commander in J&K – Riyaz Naikoo – in an encounter with security forces early this month, was cross with ISI over several issues, including the creation of an outfit called The Resistance Front (TRF) to give terrorism in the Valley an "indigenous" face.

Pak fired explosive shells destroyed in Rajouri, Poonch

Rajouri /Poonch, May 29: The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of Army on Friday destroyed three high explosive mortar shells in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu region, officials said.


Officials informed that an unexploded high explosive shell fired by Pakistan was found in Line of Control (LoC) village of Bhimber Gali sector of Poonch district. “Six days ago, Pakistan Army resorted to heavy mortar shelling in the area and a high explosive 120 mm mortar shell was fund in the area,” they said.


“The shell was a big threat for locals. Soon after spotting the shell, the locals approached Army following which a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of Army reached the spot and destroyed the shell,” they said.


They divulged that the shell was destroyed through a controlled explosion.

Super expensive drones and we don't know how it will perform in Highly defensive airspace PAF can use it's F-16 to shot down a drone which cannot do maneuvers and is particularly slower.
IAF was interested in buying these drones but after iran shot down American drone interest have been rapidly reduced.

Fair enough. Though I'd like to see these kind of drones made under Make in India program our defence industry is definitely capable of building those. At least we can take out few launch pads along LoC.

Last time the Pakis claimed they shot down an 'Indian Army quadcopter' which they said was used for spying, but got scrambled egg on their faces when a Paki farmer came forward to claim it, as it was a drone hired by him for taking videos of the marriage of his daughter in a nearby village!!
