100%. Taliban is not one group, it is a consortium of groups. within taliban there are afghan based groups and pak based groups. safe to assume ISI has several groups under their direct control, else narcotics wouldn’t be coming out of Afghanistan to rest of the world via pak so easily.

We had fought 4 wars with pakistan could have easily taken enough territory to connect them with our mainland.

But we'll what's done is done.

Unfortunately India and probably Hindus do not know how to capture and assimilate territories and populations We return hard won territory to Pakistan after most wars.

The Soviets and Russians on the other hand know very well how to retain battle gains.

There is no need to follow Nazi Hitler like brutal policies but some SOP's should be developed to govern captured lands and integrate their populations.

Maybe we are too morally upright as a society.
