This cricket thingy has been like this for some time. Yes, SM amplifies stuff but the underlying fault-line exists.

Anti-Modism can easily turn into anti-India narrative for these sections.

It is advent of social media.. This kind of thing is nothing new . I have witnessed this in 90s . It used to happen before as well . India had always such issues . Info war making this more magnified . Nothing to be stressed abt .

Don't worry. These fence-sitters will be slapped back to reality if anything really happens. The comfort of staying away from conflict and danger inevitably makes you a dhimmi. The protected lot will very well see the reality or will perish in the process.

2.5 front wasn't coined out of thin air. It was coined by people who knew about the ground realities of the namakharams in India. I saw Muslims in Hyderabad celebrating Pakistan victory 15 years ago when Hindu nationalism didn't even exist.

The good thing is, they can be wiped out with minimum damages if the Indian state gives the radicals in the majority community a freehand. So far, Indian state has treated the namakharams as equal to Hindus. Learn from Bangladesh. The state doesn't interfere immediately and let's the Jihadis have a go at the minorties.

Don't restrain radical Hindus in India. Don't file cases on them if they go after the namakharams.

Yes you are right, time taking ops should not be any factor as it can push the casualties on our side.

I generally avoid talking operational tactics. You should read my views on Indian army posturing along border with China as we are ready to go kinetic any time soon.

The situation in Kashmir should be different. We should be fortified in every township, village and ridge with institutions actively working on de-radicalizing the population and replacing the population.

The worst-case scenario here will be a company level infiltration. Or we have got a breakthrough of isolating a massive training camp inside our border.

In surgery we say treatment of compression is decompression. Here if they are fortified in bunkers then we must soften them before start flushing them out or risk more body bags. This is a sub strategic buildup comprising our grid and it must be decompressed.

With imminent threat to their lives they will go suicidal or already moving out, dispersing and running back to Pakistan.

The tactical outcome of this operation should be not to allow them back into our main townships and push them back towards Pakistan. Looks like this what our forces are doing.
