Even though brahmos can fly at 50k altitude, and even if we decide to destroy HVT with a very costly missle, why would we keep trajectory at 40k if it can go in terrain hugging mode. It doesn’t make any sense. We are not shown very big piece of puzzle.
Use of brahmos only make sense if it was very very high value target which was mobile and to be destroyed in 5-8 min window. Hafiz said got 72ed or what.

Did GoI confirm that the missile was without warhead? Don't believe what porks say. Although even without warhead, the sheer kinetic energy will cause lots of damage.

Analysis can be performed. The missile is not completely destroyed. The electrons might have survived, we cannot confirm. The assumption with such missile is that they end with explosion either detonation of primary warhead or self-destruct. The sub-assembles are made quite durable to withstand different forces like impact or g-force.
Even if the guidance system is partially destroyed scientist and engineers can reverse engineer it to perform analysis. Pakistani scientists had reverse-engineered the American Tomahawk missile to build Babur cruise missile.

Ring laser gyros won't survive these kinds of impact and neither would the computers. The entire wreckage was on fire after impact. I don't think there's much to worry.

They too have missiles and R&D going on, they just need some good lead to catch up with us. If it was Brahmos, the Chinese will use it in their chaoxun-1 (cx-1) development. Just like how PLA upgraded their Z-20 with Black hawk downed in Pakistan.

Chinese already has access to oniks anyways and about metallurgy it's old technology anyways as china,Russia,usa and India already into using metallurgy to sustain hypersonic projectiles

Another aspect we have to see is If the missile got miss fires and the missile just flew without a Target till it can fly by not making any final impact maneuvers.
I wonder why that particular building was hit, like it was there in the path of the missile with elevated altitude?, we have to see the topography of the land. If it's a flat land then i doubt it was the target.
By looking at the impact area, Only our missile scientists and experts would know it by cross verifying with the previous Test Missile impact data.
so that if the missile impact was less they might get a good chunk of debris.
