Go easy dude, trying to shoot down an object flying at 42,000 ft. at Mach 3 is in no way possible. I doubt even China can do anything about it. By the time you identify it as a hostile target and decide to shoot it down, it is already way past your AD range.

Okay, can confirm this drop tank is from either J-10 or JF-17. Profile matches exactly.

Also, some observations can be made -

• The drop tank is empty, as it did not catch fire on impact.
• The drop tank has probably not been dropped from a height, as the damage to it is minimal, means it was slow and empty (reinforcing the above point).

Its clear cooked up storry from pak military, they have already come to a conclusion that its a failed missile test from India, so they wont escalate or retaliate. May be they wanted to set this narrative for diverting local political ruckus and show India is irresponsible nation for violating their airspace.

If they have tracked the missile from Indian side why they took 24 hours to confirm the same to public and there is no formal protest for almost a day.. Why pak airapace was not closed immediately atleast until things get cleared. There was not even civilian air traffic diversion post the incident. Had the missile communicated to the paf ADS it was unarmed and just came to explore the pak strategic locations.

2 civilian aircraft just pass over same location 30 mins after the incident took place. pak lies getting exposed, that any country would have restricted air movement or instructed civilian aircraft to take alternate path when they track a non responsive projectile moving from adversary air space

So rogue/malicious missiles are flying about Pakistani airspace at *40,000ft* (cruising altitude for most airliners) and Pakistan doesn’t even issue a partial airspace closure? They wait 24 hours before they come up with a PowerPoint presentation and timidly ask india for a response?

Alright, I went through the DGISPR conference.

Some takeaways from the conference and what I understand -

• From Kuntal Biswas's analysis, seems like it is indeed BrahMos CM.
• It was initially headed for Mahajan firing range, south of Suratgarh, which might imply it was a routine test-firing.
• The missile took a sharp, abrupt turn after Suratgarh and entered Pakistani territory, and thereafter crashed/hit after some 124 km (potential navigation failure ?).
• The missile was unarmed (without warhead), which further shows it was unlikely a hostile action.
• The drop tank shown, is probably dropped in haste by PAF jets scrambling to intercept it.

Conclusion:- It was a test trial, navigation failed and it veered inside Pakistan and crashed. Basically, we fucked up.

Navigation system failed and the missile directly headed towards porki air base lol our missiles are really CHAD!
