Same sh!t, new day!! Some tactical decisions have to be taken by the commander on the ground regardless of GoI policy. Hit them with overwhelming force once we have the intel and not wait until they create mischief. They have gathered there for the sole purpose of creating trouble and not for Navratri dandiyaWTF? IA spotted 5 terrorist and waited them to cross LoC and then fired on them so that there won't be allegations from Pak India violated ceasefire agreement and also doe not wanted to engage Pak army WTF is this? Seriously? Shame on GoI. What if terrorist killed our jawans?
Is this called free hand and 56 inch? Disgusting
US does not seem to have decided what to do next with Pakistan, there is probably a debate going on between the different points of view or interests. Trump turned down the dial on military and civil air when in office, Biden's refusal to talk to Im the dim is not happenstance, so there is some consistency in policy inspite of change in administrations. Question is what they decide are they going to turn the screws on Pak, or instead try to improve it (with an eye to countering China), Or maybe simply ignore them for now. There is definitely at least a small group in the US deep state that is not happy with the paxis and may want to punish them (the Af government collapse and evacuation was just putting salt on their 20 year wound). Hence we are seeing articles like these, but there is still not much coverage in mainstream media (unlike the hard-on they have on Iran and Russia). On they other side the Paxi are probably lobbying in full force to convince US decision makers to move on and improve relations. IMO India should start engaging and try to influence the US on the following:US says, "It's time to pull the plug on our toxic relationship with Pakistan"
For more than three decades, our supposed ally in South Asia has systematically lied to and manipulated successive presidential administrations — Republicans and Democrats

Why does the U.S. continue to provide aid to a country that cozies up to our enemies and has proliferated nuclear technology?thehill.com
Can someone summarize what he told.? I am On a spotty internet connection@Levina ji ka YT Video
"..Pakistan had a 3 :1 advantage in armour and an actual 5:1 advantage in the Patton Vs Centurion column. It should have been a hot knife through butter at Asal Uttar..."
Thread please...
Very long thread but very interesting, how porki tank regiments were reduced to metal graveyard....
Apparently 2 of them managed to escape back to the other side of LoC, but we did not shoot at them (in spite of "having them in our sniper crosshairs"), because we did not want to violate Simla pact and cease fire agreement.WTF? Its 65, did you forget east pakstaan ?^ How was Pakistan economically better off in the mid-1960s? Based on what. What manufacturing and services did they possess back then, that India did not have? It's for certain, that they received far more aid per capita, than India did. Agriculturally, the more fertile parts of Punjab, were in Pakistan. That much is true.

Armies hands are not that restricted, what you think army is ?Apparently 2 of them managed to escape back to the other side of LoC, but we did not shoot at them (in spite of "having them in our sniper crosshairs"), because we did not want to violate Simla pact and cease fire agreement.
And some people are celebrating 5 years of surgical strikes, one journalist was talking about what a great turning point this event was and then un-ironically mentioned that the latest batch of terrorists used the same route as the 2016 Uri terrorists.
Masssssive aid by Americans, plus east Pakistan was the economic powerhouse as far as Pakistan was considered. Its 65, did you forget east pakstaan ?
No, just wondering how it was that Pakistan was economically better off back then, than India. What's the basis of this claim, and how did they get there( if it is true)
Yes Delhi is vulnerable , always has been."..Pakistan had a 3 :1 advantage in armour and an actual 5:1 advantage in the Patton Vs Centurion column. It should have been a hot knife through butter at Asal Uttar..."
Scary to say the least, wonderful thread btw. Didn't know that if we had lost Assal Uttar, Delhi was a goner ! Like I said , scary...
Both armies performed equally good or bad in 65 , we were halted at iccogil canal and they were at asal uttr"..Pakistan had a 3 :1 advantage in armour and an actual 5:1 advantage in the Patton Vs Centurion column. It should have been a hot knife through butter at Asal Uttar..."

That is what i want to point out, why our security top brass hesitate so much to provide air cover for the soldiers who left to fight in a hostile environment like april 2020 situation. When there was no clear pic how many terrorists hiding why send in just 5 soldiers and risk their life.Uh? When have we ever used air support to take down terrorists?
instead they should have tested a bomb thereThat is what i want to point out, why our security top brass hesitate so much to provide air cover for the soldiers who left to fight in a hostile environment like april 2020 situation. While I agree with you on general, air support would not have helped them in this operation if I recall the details. Our men accidentally fell on top of exactly where they were hooked up initiating the firefight. That is what i want to point out, why our security top brass hesitate so much to provide air cover for the soldiers who left to fight in a hostile environment like april 2020 situation. This is because US no longer needs them.US says, "It's time to pull the plug on our toxic relationship with Pakistan"

Apparently both retaliations are just tit for tat reactive measures, not enough punch to cease terrorism push by pakis permanently. Only effective solution is changing the demography at LOC, capture their forward post whenever they try to push terrorists into our side and it has to be done at some point of time.Apparently 2 of them managed to escape back to the other side of LoC, but we did not shoot at them (in spite of "having them in our sniper crosshairs"), because we did not want to violate Simla pact and cease fire agreement.
