That tweet was put out by PAF a few hours before their sovereign territory ( outside JK ) was bombed.. So, the tweet is a kind of self goal by PAF.. Although, the fact that India was not able to convince most people outside India, that it hit a terror camp, helps lessen the sting.. Pakistan retaliated by bombing JK ( PAF could have struck a target across IB, but chose not to )...

I had heard this back then don't know if it is true or not, that the squadron supposed to do the bombing wanted to carry out a battle damage assessment but were denied by the gov and senior military leadership. Anyone knows if this is true or not?

Highly unlikely, if it were true then it would mean that the air force doesn't know whether it hit the targets.
