AFAIK, Su34 is for A2G in uncontested airspace, I maybe wrong,

And Tu22m2 is a strategic bomber aircraft, if it bombs the crap out of PoK Shockwaves will reach My house in Kerala, not to mention the Tupolev have to flanked by many other fighters to give A2A cover
