America is a bane for this world, China and USA are the most evil nations with evil intentions on earth.
I know everything looks confusing but if you think that “all countries look out for themselves” things become clear. It is all about lesser of the evil - the US is the less evil.
The reality is the US-China rivalry will reshape the world. Countries would be forced to choose one side or the other. Chinese pretty much have concluded that they are now as powerful as the US and are ready to be the next global police. Russia will be forced to choose between China and India. If India is seen as a strong us ally , Russians can no longer afford to maintain strategic relationships with India. We are not there yet as the lease of the next Akula SSN has been approved by Russia.
The wildcard in all this is China. If their economy collapses, then we are back to the sole superpower position. But the Chinese appear to be learning from the collapse of the Soviet Union and countering the US properly- by having a strong economy and controlling global financial flows.
China’s policy toward India is also a wild card. They have done some really stupid things. You just don’t push a big power (India) into aligning more with your enemy (the US). Such stupid moves is why the CCP has not matured enough to become a global power. They have not learnt the art of alliances. If they get entangled with India, the US will eat them alive.
The India-Russia-China-US dance is going to be the dance of this century. Everything is unclear now. But shortly everyone would take firm positions and things will become clearer.

A bit of peace along the LOC in Kashmir was at Pakistani initiative this year. It was their desire to focus fully on Afghanistan then to continue useless LOC firing and escalation. Hence they initited a ceasefire along the LOC.

Truthfully they have succeeded in their objectives. Their full attention for the last six months was the full capture of Afghanistan. Remember, there are only bunch of Mullahs in Taliban. The real fighting is done by Pakistani soldiers and Pushtu refugees in Pakistan in the garb of Taliban. It is the same story which the Pakistanis did in capturing heights in Kargil in 1999. They were not Kashmiris but Pakistani soldiers with Kashmiri fighters garb..

Now US, the so called high tech army has suffered a major defeat after Vietnam in 1975. Its prestige is lower. Pakistan's prestige in Muslim world has improved.

I believe PRC hostility towards India was a move to divert attention. Xi Jinping's position was under siege and he wanted to divert everyone's attention away from him. People may call it immaturity but for Xi Jinping its was need of the our. For him his position was more important that relations with India.
At the same time he wanted to show India that we are not in same league as them.
Unfortunately from them the move backfired.

What fighting? There was no fighting. The Afghan Army just surrendered. Looks like plenty of behind-the-scenes deals were cut.

So Imran Khan has openly said that Taliban has broken the chains of slavery of Afghans

One thing is clear that Imran loves to axe his feet regularly, and when his hands get tired he smashes his feet to the axe, from Opening his mouth against France to speaking against Israel to calling Bin Laden a “martyr” to now referring Taliban as some sort of “Saviours”, the negative geopolitical impact will be big for Pakistan. It’s not that one can’t protest against a nation, they can but there are proper diplomatic channels to lodge a protest, opening your mouth on Twitter has negative impacts on bilateral and even global relations. Imran is the best thing happened to India, lage raho Imran bhai, Tabdeeli laate raho.

What fighting? There was no fighting. The Afghan Army just surrendered. Looks like plenty of behind-the-scenes deals were cut.
Disgraceful show of cowardice by the ANA.
They have besmirched the reputation of the Americans and others who took so much pains to train and equip them.

Numerically at around 180,000 troops they outnumbered the Taliban who have around 75,000 fighters.

It is not that the Taliban was 100% Pashtun and the ANA 100 % non Pashtun.
In fact the ANA was composed of around 42% Pashtun both in the officer and non officer category. Numbering around 75,000 Pashtun. The rest were Tajiks, Hazaras, Uzbeks etc.

The ANA simply did not have the will to fight. The battle was lost in the mind itself. This is not the first time that the ANA has run away from the battle field. After the withdrawal of the Soviet Union from Afghanistan also the ANA did not put up an tough fight. But at least the Najibullah Government lasted longer than the Ghani Government.

A commander like Ahmed Shah Masood, the lion of the Panjshir Valley would not have given up so easily.

There were Pashtun Generals and other Pashtun officers and soldiers in the ANA. Why did they not offer an decent fight to the Taliban. I don't believe that the whole Pashtun population in Afghanistan look at the Taliban as an army of Allah. The Taliban while espousing Puritanical Islam is hardly an army of devout Muslims. They have used Drugs money to fund their campaign. The religious factor is over emphasised.

Even if the whole drama of abject surrender by the ANA was planned beforehand, is the honour of the ANA ensured. Was there a written agreement with the Taliban wherein they agreed to safeguard the lives of ANA personnel and offer an honourable exit to the ANA. What has the ANA gained from this capitulation to the Taliban. In all probability the men of the ANA and their families will be hunted down by the Taliban and killed, tortured and imprisoned.

The final picture in Afghanistan will emerge with passage of time. But the shameful crumbling of the Afghanistan Security Forces makes a mockery of the tens of billions of dollars invested in recruiting, training and equipping them over the past two decades. And think of the human capital invested with military professionals from other countries spending time and effort to train the ANA.

The Pashtuns are individually known as good fighters but probably unable to form a modern professional Army which can stand its ground and defend territory.

Because behind the scenes deals were done. Russians and Chinese pretty much favored the Taliban to the point that Ghani had no choice but getting out. Behind the Taliban’s rapid advances, there is a Russian hand. And the ANA knew they cannot fight that without US counter support. The thing is the Russians and Chinese were trying to bog down the US in Afghanistan making them lose billions more dollars. Afghanistan is not a simple Taliban versus the Republic government, it has been about the US versus Russia and China.
