In the Nineties Kashmir situation was brought under control by Dare Devils who didn't care for their lives
Today we are anguished by lives lost in Poonch but we had to sacrifice several Hundred soldiers every year in the 90s
You are Right , But that BRIGADIER whom I quoted does have a PointAt that time we did not have BPV, NVG, proper rifles, no aerial recon capability, no armoured cars. Thus we came across the loss of jawans.
But today things are different we can have BPV, NVG, rifles, drones to do recon and availability of armoured cars. But still IA forgot to upgrade them and loosing men.
Me was right
There are hundred ways to save soldiers lives but not government nor army care about itAt that time we did not have BPV, NVG, proper rifles, no aerial recon capability, no armoured cars. Thus we came across the loss of jawans.

Not unless they have skin in the game! How many kids of jernails and MPs serve in active combat roles? There are hundred ways to save soldiers lives but not government nor army care about it
yeah but they killed several thousand terrorist. In the Nineties Kashmir situation was brought under control by Dare Devils who didn't care for their lives

they had the monocular nvg, the same one they use todayAt that time we did not have BPV, NVG, proper rifles, no aerial recon capability, no armoured cars. Thus we came across the loss of jawans.

No one. Just to blackout Imran Khan's online speech.
NoYou the same typa dude to claim kargil was a failure but you don’t know why it was a failure.
You know where he mentioned how Pakistanis seem to have a idea on how that 27th was clear victory for them?.. No Paki has the idea on 1971. You know why?Maybe explain how it’s a pathetic failure?
Pakis are equally incompetent and didnt gain anything despite having full control of the situation at one point in time.No

Because instead of taking the opportunity to maul there Air force by downing dozen of their jets ambushing an attack predicted by almost everyone, we got ourselves outnumbered & donated jet for them to make monuments off it's parts. They were aggressive enough to break protocols and shoot BVRs and our greatest achievement was jamming their missiles & getting back our POW.
I remember seeing the international community talking about it online. 100% of it was Indians being meek and incompetent, backing down after losing a jet then making facesaving claims to have downed an F-16 whose crash-site we couldn't find by satellite imagery (because it doesn't exist) & shooting down a friendly aircraft hundred miles inside our own border. It's not even a "valiant defense" because Pakis never intended to commit to an engagement, just lobbed BVRs & glide-bombs from far away.
Actually a US Navy pilot commented that if India hadn't responded in any way or scrambled a single fighter, the outcomes would've been BETTER for us... they'd not have an air-2-air kill or an Indian Wing Commander to parade around & there would've not been a friendly-fire loss of Indian heli.
That's how...
Oh I don't disagree on a single of these points... More is the tragedy of such a lost opportunity. Still it can be said that PAF didn't get a long time to plan will under pressure to react, but for us nobody didn't see that counterattack coming (other than IAF apparently).Pakis are equally incompetent and didnt gain anything despite having full control of the situation at one point in time.
They panicked over a Mig 21 and shot down their own aircraft in a friendly kill…its just stupid and shows how actually brave they are as they claim to be
Then they missed the bombs even though they claimed they intentionally didnt aim at the brigade headquarters but it was later proven over a recorded phone call that they indeed missed the headquarters
IAF was totally caught pants down on the next day of balakote but PAF with so much planning and favourable situation couldnt do shit either.
I would still give it to IaF as this was indeed a pants down moment..if IAF was in PAFs situation that day i think the outcome could have been very different to what PAF got.
Ideal situation would have been 7-8 paf jets shot down to the loss of 2-3 of ours mostly migs not sukhois and the counter attack would be to take down their airbase with Brahmos.Oh I don't disagree on a single of these points... The air battle was still a stalemate despite the PAF having a huge number. Sure, they managed to bring large numbers, but what exactly could they do with those numbers? Zilch. They missed all their targets, and ran away at the sight of one MiG21! That’s how “brave” they really are.No

The whole reason PAF fails and will fail is that they genuinely believe they are “martial superior” to the “vegetarian hindus” of india. This level of deluded thinking explains their lack of any success in conflicts.Pakis are equally incompetent and didnt gain anything despite having full control of the situation at one point in time.

There were no operational objectives in the 1st place... The battle was to dominate narrative & India lost. The air battle was still a stalemate despite the PAF having a huge number. What coulda shoulda woulda happened is irrevelvant. Did the IAF make mistakes? Absolutely! By your logic, 1965 and 1971 was a failure because IA should’ve occupied more land in West Pak. The IAF definitely should be held responsible for not being ready for Operation Swift Retort, but by no means does this entail a “pathetic failure” because the only thing the enemy gained was a single shoot down and a pilot to chest thump their inflated egos. That whole conflict had zero strategic benefit for pakistan, but for India, let’s just say Pulwama tier attack hasn’t happened in Kashmir for a while now.
Anyway, lastly international community opinions are laughable to use. The fact are the fact in that the IAF made huge mistakes on Feb 27, more like not being prepared for Operation Swift retort at all.
Stalemate means India failed. We had the time, knowledge and means to come out on top.The air battle was still a stalemate despite the PAF having a huge number
