PAFF released a statement yesterday praising & paying respect to Capt. Shubham (9 PARA SF) and calling him brave & fearless. Says he went into the ambush knowing well it was a trap. The statement also called out IA as "too predictable".

-------------------------------

Don't ask me to post the original statement, and if you find it, don't post/spread it.
It is a psyop to propagate their message and sound more credible to the pro-Army population.

India has to opposite problem to Israel. Israel has policy problems due to manpower being premium and super expensive to lose, India has policy problems because manpower is plentiful

20 officers dying in a war is acceptable.

20 officers dying in avoidable circumstances (for most cases) fighting counter insurgency in your own backyard and refusal to correct course is criminal negligence.
I meant 20 officers killed in a year is not a big deal for Army to correct course..
I wouldn't mind 2 or more officers dying in separate ambushes set by 3 or 4 teams of jihadis working in co-ordination.. But, hell no.. it has been that these multiple officer casualties have been due to an ambush laid out at one single location by a single team of jihadis..

More than Balidan.. it looks like BOLLY-DAAN.. We should have a separate thread for these numb skulls titled BOLLY DAAN :frusty:

Safe to say Our geological survey has record of each and evey cave that could we used for hiding?

A observation, fight is moving away from Urbna areas to more forested areas.
When was the last time you head terrorist were slaughtered in the middle of a settlement?
It used to happen a lot a few years ago but now the terrain of these Jehadis have changed.

Trts are getting less local support, and the majority of Kashmiri people have given up on militancy (doesn't mean they like IA/India though). Previously Trts used to hide & dine with the local population. Nowadays it's almost a taboo, and people fear and steer away from families/people associated with militancy.

That's good, 20 to 30 years down the line the local population will be less radical due to this.

AFAIK apart from border villages of areas close to LoC like Gurez, Rajouri, Poonch, etc. who are still pro-Pakistan or at least pro-independence, the majority of Kashmir people have simply moved on.

And one of the big, big factor for this has been economic development post-2019 Article 370 revocation. It's easy to forget militancy when you have a bright future & happy family.

Joining/associating with militancy brings a guaranteed death sentence or at least life-long torture/harassment of not only the militant but his entire family.
