Update: PAF has 8 confirmed fatalities so far. It is likely even higher.
This is a massive fuckup & damage to PAF. The fact that they are acting like nothing happened is peak comedy.

Not a loss for BharatVery sad..
Are those booster charges beside the RPG launcher .
Poor chaps still had plenty of ammo to make a baker's dozen loss of birds.
Probably couldn't find cover.

was it ssg uniform ? if yes then even security guards in india have better uniformwhat's the gun at 0:04, FN 2000 variant?
And good thing is this is only the start. This is undoubtedly the biggest attack on the PAF airbase and brave mujahids were a grand success. 7-8 Mujahids destroying multiple operational PAF jets is absolute nuts.
This is a fine example of the advantages of asymmetrical warfare. If we had done an airstrike which took out 4x PAF assets we would have been at war by now.And good thing is this is only the start.
Afghan Taliban will not take it lying down that their citizens been thrown out of Pakistan in masses.
They will use all forms of their own proxies to hit paki establishment.
I sincerely hope IAF particularly but also IN & IA are taking adequate measures to prevent such on outrage on Indian soil. The Pathankot episode exposed our utter lack of preparation towards such incidents a full 8 yrs after 26/11 & several such instances in IA bases in Kashmir before .This is a fine example of the advantages of asymmetrical warfare. But since this was done by unknown Mujahids whose affiliation cannot be ascertained clearly, and hence no one can be held responsible, they have no option but to hide this whole incident.
I don't know why people keep crying Pathankot attack was our failure, it was handled pretty solidly in fact. We had prior intelligence, and NSG was on standby. The only failure was terrorists were able to scale the wall somehow and get into the base. Once they got into the base & attacked the soldier's mess, base QRT quickly reacted and contained them till NSG arrived to finish them off.I sincerely hope IAF particularly but also IN & IA are taking adequate measures to prevent such on outrage on Indian soil. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If PAF can be debilitated thru such measures , it's only a matter of time before non state actors can be pushed across the border to achieve something like this here. One may argue that under Modi , retaliation will be Swift & assured. Be that as it may , fear of escalation has never been an inhibitor for Fauji Foundation coz they lack the mental capacity to think that far ahead . In the meanwhile , though we'd retaliate hopefully in s disproportionate manner the damage to our assets would have been done & given our tedious time consuming procurement procedures could well serve as a double whammy to our capacities especially in these times.
Yes , but it seems the ones who planned & executed this attack didn't carry out their task professionally. Besides the entire operation took 3 days to resolve. In the future we may not be so lucky . This applies as much to hostiles infiltrating as to drone warfare or perhaps both. That's another troubling dimension we'd have to cater to going aheadI don't know why people keep crying Pathankot attack was our failure, it was handled pretty solidly in fact.
