That's why we here call them Jai chand
Jai Chand was not a traitor. He was a hero and a dharmic warrior who renovated many a temples destroyed by muzz.

I know you're not being too serious with this terminology but the precise reason Jai Chand is so demonized is because he wasn't like the other kings. He was prime dharmic material and that's why leftist intelligentsia has successfully tarnished his name in the eyes of the common Hindu.

A sphatik(quartz crystal) mala too. Interesting stash.
It's Tasbeeh. Like our elders keep Tulsi mala for Jaap count.
Tasbeeh rarely ever made of sphatic . Most probably just plastic moti.

Found on reddit. It's a thread on the Canada subreddit discussing India and I found this little gem. Shows what common people think about our neighbor

Indians seldom take time to learn their own history they just spew a bunch of wiki nonsense and stuff they read on quora. It’s sad.

The knock on Jaichand ( and remember we're talking about the 12th century, 900 years ago) is that due to personal enmity between himself and Prithviraj Chauhan, and by extension, between the Gahadavalas and the Chauhans, he did not join forces with Prithviraj to drive out the Ghurids. But he did soon after do battle with the Ghurids, and lost after initially having the advantage. So yes, he's a hero of sorts.

Pakistan has nothing except the ability to hassle India on the border, and raise issues of minorities in India and human rights in Kashmir. India, for all its problems, has so much that is good that is going on. In most, if not every sector.
but it's a constant state sponsored "hassle" which costs Indian lives both public and security forces, impact of the hassle looks either subdued or overblown depending on ability of Indian govt of the day. if the govt of the day is confused about it's priorities, impact is more, else impact is less.

in other words it's a constant and ever present threat to national security of the country, which can't be taken lightly.

This demonization of Jai Chand is courtesy the epic historical fiction poem Prithvi Raso allegedly composed by Chand Bardai .

Absolutely, all for a tough approach to Pakistani infiltration and cross border firing. Indian lives are vitally important. Just trying not to give the Pakistanis too much credit or importance.

There was no Sanyogita. It was a myth inserted by the Brits. In fact, the conflict took place for occupying NO MEN's LAND situated between border of two States, which was called "Sanyukta", the land which belongs to both, owned by None.. That Sanyukta was personified as a woman namely "Sanyogita".
