DFI पर ताश खेली जा रही
ज्ञान की बातें पेली जा रहीं

To humne bhi soncha kuch gyan ki baat pel dein
dariya-e-jhelum mein puncture tractor thel dein

What's special about the winter Nov-Feb Period?

All the big terror attacks(Except Uri) of Escalatory potential have happened in this period:
13th Dec, 2001: Parliament attacks
26th Nov, 2008: Mumbai
1st week Jan, 2016: Pathankot
14th Feb, 2019: Pulwama

& u have elections in UP in march next year

If modi has even an average IQ & some spine... learning from past experiences... he won't wait to get hit... Rather take Pakistan by surprise

Though the said period is unsuitable for any cross-LOC military offensive... something is always possible in southern Jammu(WB)

UP election is lifeline for BJP... they cannot behave clueless... a big terror attack is definitely planned by Cong-Pak... better to take them by surprise.

Europe Parliament To Withdraw Pakistan's GSP+ Status Over Abuse Of Blasphemy Laws
Pakistan was obliged to implement 27 core conventions on human rights, environmental protection, and good governance to keep GSP+ status, Europe stated.

European Parliament on Monday declared that it was withdrawing Pakistan’s GSP+ status over the controversial Blasphemy laws. Earlier in April, the EU had adopted a joint motion for a resolution on the blasphemy laws in Pakistan as it urged the Islamic Republic to opt for a more comprehensive approach to address the abuses of blasphemy laws. Pakistan attracted condemnation for convicting a Christian couple of blasphemy in an apex court, who were both handed death by hanging sentence in 2013 despite that the couple was illiterate and the alleged blasphemous message was in English.

An EU political report published on July 26 by Philippe Jeune highlighted that Islamabad was trading opportunities offered by the EU Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP) as a major beneficiary.

“From January 1, 2014, Pakistan has benefited from generous tariff preferences (mostly zero duties on two-thirds of all product categories) under the so-called GSP+ arrangement aiming to support sustainable development and good governance,” the declassified report read. It goes on to add that Pakistan was obliged to ratify and effectively implement 27 core international conventions on human and labour rights, environmental protection, and good governance in order to keep its GSP+ status intact.

However, in view of the global condemnation of Pakistan’s controversial Blasphemy Laws, the European Parliament has called into question the status quo of the country's GSP+ benefits.
“Abuse of Blasphemy Laws in Islamabad is a major concern, and cases have been widely reported,” the EU political report alleged. A Joint Motion for a Resolution, backed by all major global political groups, and MEPs, pushed the EU to conduct an immediate review of Pakistan’s eligibility for GSP+ status earlier this year. The decision, considered appropriate, was the withdrawal of Islamabad’s status.

“Such a move, which apparently enjoys the support of the majority of the house, would be highly damaging for Pakistan’s economy: from 2010 to 2020, EU27 imports from Pakistan have almost doubled, with much of the growth coming in the aftermath of the award of GSP+ in 2014,” the EU parliament stated.
It added that the European Commission’s official figures reveal that EU was now Pakistan’s second most important trading partner, accounting for 14.3 percent of Pakistan’s total trade in 2020, and absorbing 28 percent of Pakistan’s total exports.
The EU scrapped Pakistan’s GSP+ status, stating that the parliamentarians agreed that Pakistan exploits citizens under the blasphemy laws, which the country uses to “incite harassment, violence, and murder against those being accused, causing people who are accused of blasphemy to have to fear for their lives regardless of the outcome of judicial procedures.” The report further quoted the EU parliament as saying that Pakistan’s Blasphemy laws were often abused to serve in the interest of the accuser and that the country has the highest rate of enforcement of blasphemy laws. Victims of blasphemy were sentenced to death for defamation of Islam, or defamation of the prophet.

USCIRF found blasphemy laws in 85 countries 'criminalized expression'
Earlier, The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) released a groundbreaking report that found nearly eighty-four countries worldwide maintained laws that criminalized expression which insulted or offended the religious doctrines. The USCIRF highlighted illustrative examples to demonstrate the plethora of ways that governments’ enforcement of blasphemy laws undermines human rights, including freedom of religion or belief and freedom of expression. “USCIRF has consistently called on countries to abolish blasphemy laws,” said USCIRF Vice Chair Tony Perkins. “The existence of blasphemy laws empowers extremists to take the law into their own hands and employ violence extrajudicially. In just one example, we have recently seen a devastating uptick in mob violence related to blasphemy allegations in Pakistan.”

That’s why we have a whole setup called pravasi bharatiya diwas or overseas indian day and we invite and honor our diaspora. As opportunities increase many Indian Americans do return to india to pursue various ventures. However, engagement of Indian Americans with India has been minimal. Most don’t want to recognize roots in India.
‘What I am talking about is a general snootiness associated with richer, settled Indian Americans who look down upon people from India as second class. They have become far too “liberal” and “woke” to be associated with a “poor” India. In general they exhibit the same attitude as many liberal, woke white Americans. This may change as india gets richer and more developed but until then Indian Americans other than those associated with india causes like overseas friends of BJP or US-India PAC are not going to be active in India. For example, billionaires like Vinod Khosla have done nothing for India or lend a voice to promote its causes. Heck these Indian American billionaires don’t even help out their own kind or people from India in the US. They don’t have any scholarships for students from India or do anything to ease integration of people from India to the US. Compare this to the Jewish or Irish or Italian associations in the US and how they have setup networks all over the country to take care of people coming from their native lands. Many Indian Americans are closet India haters and that’s a fact. Not surprising given that Many left India for the precise reason that they hated living in India due to the anti-business policies and narratives of Indian politicians that demonized wealth creators and hard workers who rose up on merit. Now that we have pro business parties and ecosystems where hard work can get you ahead and even make you a millionaire in India, I have a feeling that Indian Americans may change their outlook. But this remains to be seen.
sometimes it’s not always about returning home. India needs to invest money into Indian Americans so that they can increase their political clout and increase their economic profiles. Right now most upliftment is happening from US and Chinese investors. India is nowhere On the radar. Money talks. China spends on entrepreneurship in US and not just with Chinese but also Americans. This creates a perpetual cycle of dependency. Why would these future business leaders consider India as important of all the shareholders are American and Chinese. India needs to up its game here.

Wtf is Sat Sri Mahakaal?
Not a known quote per se, but I think it roughly translates to 'Keeper or Time (Mahadeva) is eternal/truth. Sounds like Sat Sri Akal tho.

Anything except Buddhist weed quotes is cool for me. 'Buddham Sharanam Gachami' is the core reason for our problems throughout history.
And the other1 is 'Raghupati Raghav' cleverly stanzas distorted by Father of Nation- Mounatma (who was dead silent when Punjab,Bengal was butchered, raped), who gave us this sickularism which is eating us today.
And the third is by same Mounatma, 'Ahimsa Paramo Dharma' which is incomplete.

Net Result = Sarva Dharma Vadapao.

Chinese investments into the US is banned for most part. They can only invest in non-strategic areas like real estate or other regular businesses. I don’t think Chinese investments is something that should influence Indian ways of working with the US. India has no restrictions with the US and people to people contacts between Indians and Americans are far more entrenched than between China and the US, for obvious reasons.
And no, money talks is a myth. It does not talk everywhere. For instance, the US banned Chinese telecom and semi conductor companies and is moving to delist Chinese companies from American stock exchanges. They woke up late but at least they did. No strong country will weaken its sovereignty for money’s sake. That is a myth perpetrated by the CCP.
Money cannot be the only yardstick on which Indian Americans deal with their country of origin. Of course investors need protection and decent returns. But once you have that, we would expect Indian Americans to tilt favorably toward Indians and India as a destination. The biggest gap is Indian Americans are not rallying behind causes that promote India, and this is where the government needs to see what is going on and what can be done to remove the closet hating.

if you want US foreign policy to be friendly to India, invest in the US. China is banned because of their belligerent behavior and espionage. Every other country that invests into the US has good relationships with the country. E.g Israel, Japan, SK, Singapore, Saudi, Australia, UK. Perception of Indians matters, Indian founders becoming successful with funding from India creates more affinity towards India and goodwill when Americans are hired. This is how China gained so much influence in science and engineering. They fucked up by letting it get to their head and started messing with other countries. Indians need to act at the country’s global standing, not beg American and Chinese investors to start building wealth. Indian investors need to divest from real estate / gold and invest into tech, AI deep tech and be prepared to pay Silicon Valley prices on valuation. Then you will have a very friendly US foreign policy.

I'm quite sure that you are grossly mistaken if you believe that India falls in comfort circles of US. No none NATO country has such privileges and over it, India is more of an eyesore with miscellaneous status of friendorfoe in US.
Indian diaspora isn't nationalistic. As far as money is concerned, yes, Chinese short term investments will taken down American income in key sectors in long term. So, any country has power by translation into money.

it may be a regular thing... but according to me 5.5 lakh quantity is bigger than what's reqd for a corps size formation

Frozen dressed chicken... 1 whole chicken serves 7-9 people. According to my calculation 5.5 lakh will serve 50,000 people for 180 days(6 months)... certainly there are much more than 50k people in that theatre... & consider the huge number of vegetarian troops... this might be an indication of something!
