Our MkI are world class but on 27 we learnt we need to improve our aiforce power & need to upgrade our self . We need to induct 5 th gen planes & hyper sonic missile & we need something to counter PL15 .

They are certainly not ugly.... In fact MIG-29 is one of the most beautiful looking machines on earth.... However they are not more lethal than PAF F-16... remember F-16s jammed MKIs radars and made them leave the area on 27th Feb... Electronically and weapons wise they are more lethal than MKI as well as our upgraded Fulcrums....

he design of the N011M Bars antenna like the earlier N007 antenna consists of two separate electronically controlled arrays, an X band radar and an L band IFF transponder with a total weight of 100 kg and a diameter of 960 mm. The radar has a peak power output of 4-5 kW and is capable of positioning beams in 400 microseconds, a huge advantage over mechanically scanned radar. The Bars radar can be fixed in position to give a scanning sector of ±70 degrees in azimuth and ±45 degrees in elevation. To improve scan coverage, the radar can also be mounted on electromechanical drives, and in this case, the scanning sector is expanded to ±90 degrees.

Has Mig29 performed in any battles? In various news, I have often read/heard mention of Mirage, Su30 and even Mig21. But I don't remember reading much about Mig29 in newspapers/television.

Some times small conflicts exposes many realities. Galwan and 27th conflicts brought many realities on surface. It has many tskeaways to strengthen ourselves. We need 25 pc more allocation in budget. Significant strps taken post galwan has rattled China. China searchs for face saving Now.
