1. They didn't engage IAF because their spares (F16) were in short supply ( due to ongoing US sanction on them)
2. PAF unlike PA believed if IA failed to dislodge PA/irregulars from heights, India will open second front in Punjab. Like 1965. Then those spares will be used.
3. IAF Mig 29 had BVR capability in 1999. Check if F16 had them in 1999.
4. It is a known thing that PA was furious on PAF for not providing air cover/support over Kargil and supply lines.

So, partially you are correct and I believe the other poster is also correct.
PAF chief and NAVAL chief were against Musharraf and wanted to inform NAWAZ who was kept under the impression that they are winning,

The defence secretary of pak and ISI were in tangent with the Musharraf as it was his plan,

Musharraf didn't agree to salute Vajpayee when he did bus diplomacy

and it was his plan to sabotage the bonhomie,

everone question Musharraf what are the objectives they going to achieve out of kargil? as it jeopardized the security of whole nation of Pakistan,

and yes PAF chief categorically told that he was not taken into confidence and what was the assurance that India will not use other front this things were not thought of and that was the reason they just helped in there air space of PAK.

Fresh footage of Indian counter-mobilization underway along all sectors bordering China. We are matching them rocket-for-rocket and nuke for nuke.

Other rumors include:
  • IAF practicing decapitation air-strikes against Pakistani cities at the first sign of Pak Army opportunism
  • IAF also practicing precision strikes into Tibet in the event of any hostile ground action from China
  • Navy practicing IOR area-denial against all Chinese vessels
  • Army preparing to test PA X corps with sledgehammer advances into so-called AK
  • Army exploring all territorial opportunities along Pak and China borders (valleys, ridges, peaks, bulges, fingers, and more)
  • Tons of emergency procurements underway
  • Deployment of Arihant with prototype SLBMs carrying fission warheads
  • A second-strike plan against both China and Pakistan on hot-standby
  • Secret commissioning and deployment of Arighat with the same package as Arihant
  • Thanks to low domestic consumption during lockdown, India's strategic fuel reserves are at >100% capacity
  • Warnings sent to Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka that any collaboration with the Chinese military would invite a military response from India
What are these !! Bridge deployment system ??

China annexes 60 square km of India in Ladakh as simmering tensions erupt between two superpowers

China has occupied more than sixty square kilometres of Indian territory in eastern Ladakh, according to a senior Indian Army source, in a dramatic escalation of the simmering tension between the two Asian superpowers.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal that up to 12,000 Chinese troops pushed over the border into India last month amid border clashes as Beijing looks to slap down Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ever-closer relationship with the United States.

The Guardian is read by people who think they *ought* to run the country.

The Times is read by the people who actually *do* run the country.

The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country.

The Financial Times is read by people who *own* the country.

The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by *another* country.

The Daily Telegraph is read by the people who think it is.'

"Sun readers don't care *who* runs the country - as long as she's got big tits.”

These missiles are completely obsolete now, their technology got outdated 40 years ago.

Not sure if they will even fire. We should quickly replace them with BrahMos coastal battery.

What is wrong in firing them even if obsolete. Something is better than nothing. Much of military equipment is old but gets used none-the-less. The missiles can be refreshed (that is change of battery, warhead).
