Ya'll Nibbiars

The China has recruited retired British fighter pilots to train its People’s Liberation Army Air Force pilots, giving Beijing’s rapidly modernizing air force deep insights into Western air combat tactics, techniques and procedures.

Britain’s Defense Ministry has acknowledged that China had recruited as many as 30 former Royal Air Force fighter pilots to train their Chinese counterparts using Chinese planes, paying them as much as 3,00,000 dollars per year.

While none of the retired pilots have flown the F-35, they have flown advanced aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon, Jaguar and Tornado. The China has also attempted to recruit pilots trained on the highly-classified F-35, but its recruitment efforts have apparently not succeeded. The former fighter pilots, some in their late 50s, can pass on decades of experience to China’s new pilots, which is in line with China’s efforts to improve its fighter pilot training program and modernize its air force to match Western standards.

These skills could be pivotal in a Taiwan conflict, where Taipei’s US trained and equipped air force will be the self-governing island’s first line of defense against a Chinese blockade or invasion. China’s Western-trained fighter pilots could use the same techniques against the US and its allies if and when they attempt to come to Taiwan’s aid.
Proves how much of a sh!thole modern Britain is. Would have been unthinkable even during the Kim Philby era.

why does this "US News" website sound familiar, any of their past news stories familiar to DFI?

SCOOP: U.S. intelligence helped India rout China in a clash late last year in the high Himalayas:

If true, then it goes to show how much of a game changer that US real time intelligence can be when properly utilized. This is not something that Russia can give and is indeed highly valuable. However, US can be fickle and mercurial. India needs to obtain this capability without delay and that means designing and creating satellites which can be launched by its rockets and encouraging ISRO to increase its launch cadence and capabilities.

Why don't we focus such satellites rather those lunar, mars missions etc .
Nothing wrong with moon, mars missions etc, they build scientific capabilities and don't really cost that much (although can't say the same about the maned space program). Issue is we simply not allocating enough money, especially to be able to complete with a country that is launching ~10x the number satellites.

Why did you think this piece of fan-made hobby video is relevant for this thread, or anything Indo-Chinese ?
Well, shows that atleast they take Rafale seriously or they foresee an air combat with Indians unlike earlier where they used to say, "psst.... India attacking China! Not gonna happen because India will get stomped. So India won't dare. "

Majority of the Chinese Jai Ho gang still think this way, but it doesn't really matter what Jai Ho on either side think. They'd rather show shooting down a Rafale or a Tejas than a Sukhoi 😆

Ahh so finally an age old saxon dream/nightmare of forging "Evil" axis of China Russia Iran NK is realised now.
Severe implications for India - now there is ditch in front (China + Russia) and trench (US ) for us. Had Indian Armed forces doubled on indigenous solutions for past 2 decades - India could have truly practiced non aligned principles now..... but alas.
